Location: Muskego, WI | I have a 1966 318 Poly in my 1960 Plymouth and I'm wondering if factory exhaust will work. The newer Poly was a direct bolt-in in place of the old one, so it's sitting exactly where the original engine was. The exhaust manifolds appear to be the same, but I want to be sure before I spend money on exhaust. The passenger side is different as the original 1960 manifold had the generator mount cast into it, but the shape and collector position appear to be the same. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks. |

The 1960 Exhaust Manifolds of the A-318 which came with The 1960 Plymouth --- will bolt to the 1966 A-318 Engine.
.. the Left Car Manifold has a Rear Dump,
.. All Years of the Right Car and Truck Manifold has a Center Dump.
.. The 1960 Manifold with The Boss for mounting The Generator can be used on The 1966 Engine and with the 1960 engine Paint Colour on The 1966 Engine --- No One will spot the change.

The Engine Block to Bell housing Bolt pattern is the same from 1956 to 1961. Starting in 1962 a different pattern was used.
This also relates to The Crank Shaft and The Clutch/ Torque Convertor.

| HOLD ON. The 1960 left manifold is way different than the 62 -66 left. The flange is angled different, bellhousing related. Double check before you do any pipe decisions.
I know because I was comparing a 1960 to a 1961 and a 62 manifold. |

Location: Muskego, WI | I did find that to be the case after closer inspection and trying to mock up the original 1960 Y pipe onto the engine. The passenger side seemed to be ok, but the driver side is angled differently due to starter location and size. |
