Member Posts: 19 | I recently purchased an edmunds 2x1 intake for my '55 Plymouth 230 Flathead. I also purchased an idental carb as can be found on the car now. From what I can tell, they're both carter BBS. My issue is that I don't think k they'll both fit on the manifold I purchased. Do I have any options to use thee two or am I better off purchasing another pair. Thanks in advance for your help. I've included a pic of one of the carbs I have. You should only need one of the carb/choke assemblies to get the engine to fire up. If you can pull the choke mechanism off the front carb I think it would give you the clearance.......maybe. just to be sure I'd get two more manual choke BBS carbs to play with.

With that choke in the way, it's too wide for the manifold. Not sure how it would look if I removed it as only the black portion is removable....

Expert Posts: 1476 Location: Pacific Northwest | It was for multiple years but mine was for a '61 slant 6 application. I was thinking you could remove the black part off the front carb and then use a 90° elbow to get the fuel line in-between. You would have to go soft lines though. I'd send you pictures of my setup but it's totally different from what you are doing. Edited by ABloch 2016-11-01 8:22 PM
