Hi, I am looking for some trim pieces for a 57 Dodge Custom Royal. Do you have any of the following;
round taillight bezels
custom royal script for front fenders
headlight trim as well as the small piece that joins the headlight trim at the top/centre of the headlight
emblems for the rear fenders as well as the emblem on the trunk

Thanks

I have a Coronet 2-door sedan that has one pit-free taillight bezel, and two others with just light pitting, no blistering. The stainless over the headlights has a couple of small dents, but not crushed or creased. The center joining trim is in poor condition, not worth repairing. If you still need these items, PM me. ---John

John,

I am looking for a three speed shift cable for a Plymouth or Dodge, roughly
'58 or '59. I am changing my '59 Coronet over to a three speed and need a
serviceable cable.

Thanks, Larry

Hi, I am looking for the Jiffy Jet washer bag mounting brackets for a '58 Plymouth. I think that all '57-'58s have common brackets but I'm not sure. I also need the check valve for the washer system. Thanks!

Larry, I was always under the impression that the 3 and 2 speed cables were the same, although the shift quadrant is different. I'll see if i have the distinct 3-speed unit still in a car and let you know. And Todd, I know for a fact there are a few cars out here that still hold their washer bag brackets, not sure on the valve though. ---John

John,
I have a 60 Fireflite 2 dr hardtop. I am looking for a few things:
- the clips for the stainless trim that goes around the base of the windshield and the rear windows
- clips that hold in the weatherstripping for the windshield & rear window
- the rubber molded piece held in with two screws that goes on the frame/roof juncture behind the front, top edge of the vent frame on both the driver and passenger sides (I know that one is hard to picture...)
- the rubber molded piece that goes in the front of the quarter panel behind the front door that seals the rear window track when the window is closed for both the driver and passenger sides (I know, another hard one to picture).
- two horns
- jack and stand

The rubber doesn't have to be perfect, just enough that I can make it operational.
Thanks in advance!

Dan

John, do you have a good hood for my 59 Dodge Coronet 2 door hardtop? by good I mean minimal dings, and no rust out on the skin or braces, a little surface rust is OK. Also looking for good front fenders. thanks

Hi James, The '59 I recently picked up was left out in the redwoods for years, and the forest debris caused rust through on the hood. I believe the left fender was good and solid, the right fender had a large dent above the wheelwell where a tree had grown against it. I'll get back to you with a better description after I check it out. ---John

I have an overdrive, John...but I can use everything on you wagon for a V-8 stick set up (flywheel, clutch assembly for core purposes or rebuilding, starter, bellhousing tranny, shifter from column, all shifter linkage, shifter & clutch rods, swivels, z-bar etc. Since I'm putting an eight in the blue wagon, I could use the little "V" emblems for the rear quarters and tailgate. I am assuming it's a 318 wagon...

Please e-mail me.

Also found some more side trim hidden in the pink wagon and need to revise which trim pieces I need.

I sold some Ch*vy stuff (FINALLY) and may as well use the money for this stuff.

K.

P.S.- Ray Bell needs an overdrive, if you ever come across any. I have two that are only good for parts and one in the pink wagon. But my black wagon has a straight three speed without overdrive and that's why I am interested in what you have.

John, I think I will keep looking, hopefully I Can find the hood and fenders in one place. I just wanted to say thankyou on those other parts you sold me, so far I have had good luck with them, the carb, I just opened it up, sprayed it out with carb cleaner, put it back together and installed it, runs great, I didn't even have to adjust it, the accelerator pump is weak, which I will adress when I rebuild it, but I couldn't be happier with it. I may be back in touch with you on the one fender if I can't find one, both of mine are fair, but if given the choice I would rather replace them with ones that have no rust out than repair them.

Hi Eric, most of these cars I find by word of mouth, from other salvage operators or friends. A few have been bought from e-bay or craigslist, and I still find some through local newspapers. I used to drive in some demo derbies, so I know a lot of the guys that still do, and I find '76 Caprices and put them up for trade, if they find finned cars. These guys have way more time on their hands than I do so it works out well. Farm and ranch auctions and property clean-ups are some other prosperous ways to locate and buy cars. ---John

The best tailgate has no rust out, but it appears there is some bondo towards the right lower. I removed the interior cover panel, and cannot see the usual signs of damage, such as holes drilled or wavy, distorted metal. Most likely this filler isn't thick. The price for the tailgate shell is 200.00. Please contact me if you are interested. ---John

Hi John,

You wouldn't happen to have a restorable set of the front swivel seats ('59-??) would you? I'm thinking about replacing the bench seat in my '58 with the swivels. This is on the "wish" list as opposed to the "need" list, I'm just curious about how available they are and how much they go for.

Thanks,
Todd

Hi Todd, I get these in occasionally, but do not have any currently. The interesting thing is that most of them I find have been installed in non-Chrysler cars in the past. I get 5-600.00 for seats in good operating condition, and up to 800.00 for the power versions. Hope this info helps, John

John: I am converting a '59 Coronet 2-door sedan with the stock 326 and powerflite trans over to a "super D500" with torqueflite trans. What I need is a COMPLETE set of engine mounts for the 383 engine (the part that bolts to the crossmember and the part that bolts to the engine), the rear transmission mount/crossmember (if different for torqueflite trans), the shifter control quadrant and trim plate for the dash and control cable (if unique for torqueflite), any unique throttle land downshift linkage parts for the 383 engine. If one of the coronets that you have has a big block engine (361/383) with torqueflight, those parts would work fine. I also think a lot of Desoto parts interchange. Thanks.

Jim

Hi Jim, unfortunately, all the Dodges and DeSotos I currently have are equipped with the poly engines. If something should turn up, I will certainly let you know. ---John
