Location: Sydney, Australia | This has been getting around for a while. I didn't think a great deal when I first saw it but now I quite like it... I first thought it might of been an Australian assembled one but then noticed the brake MC on the LHS and then the comment Carlisle car show... Still some dash or actual interior photos would be nice selling point..

Location: Melbourne, Australia | Believe me I am not a Plymouth man but i have seen the car , and it would have to be the best one on the planet , if you were disappointed with the car I would personally refund you the money ! . Its as mint as one can get and better than the photos look . |

Location: Branson, MO | This Bevedere is really nice and except for the condition of the inside door panel being wrinkled, it's about as nice as my '59 Firesweep from what I can see. And that is incredible! As for price, I'd sell my DeSoto for less than $45K. |

Are you talking US or Aus dollar?
Not sure what an original in such fine condition go for in the States but don't forget to add on the $10k - $15k to import/taxes/fees over to Aus and around 2 or 3 months to arrive.
So doing the maths this car is $45K AUS which is around $35K US then taking off the $11K to have the car in Australia so around $24K US for an unmolested 1958 car.. Might still seem a little rich if it was being sold in the US for $24K for a 4 door Plymouth but I've seen them for $15K-$20K for a restored one so....
Personal import cars are always that more expensive when being sold in Australia because of the expenses in bringing it over. I was a little surprised to see this was an import because we had 4 door sedans and 4 door HT's Plymouths assembled in Australia in the 1950's but they had a Dodge dash fitted.

Location: Branson, MO | Yeah, I'm talking US dollars. I'm not familiar with exchange rates and neither am I familiar with shipping and fees. Therefore, my car would be in the $28K to $32K range (US) for me to get excited about selling. I more than likely could never replace my car for that price if I wanted to. And it is not restored, it is a 23,000 mile factory original with one single stage repaint in the original factory colors. That's it! Of course the wear items and maintenance requirements had attention but even the tires are 800x14 Goodyear Super Cushion bias plys just like it came from the factory. And, believe it or not, in addition to the original trunk mat and liners, it still has the factory original DeSoto aluminum keys that work in all the slots - trunk, glove box, doors, and ignition!

Location: Melbourne, Australia | The coral car is a well documented survivor as featured in Collectible Automobile many years ago with maybe 1000 miles on it until the 1990's.... (deceased estate) It traded hands in the US and had modest mileage put on it until being sold to an Australian buyer maybe 3 years ago.... Never repainted and is one of a handful left in the world in this condition. I have long been an admirer of this particular car and was quite surprised when it made its way to Oz and settled only a few suburbs away from me! Many pics were in the advert which makes for excellent reference material as this car has had the bare minimum replaced; wheel cylinders and tyres/ hoses etc. It really is one of a kind. Colin |

Yes, I remember that car very well.
It was found with around 950 miles on it, in a New York subterranean parking.
A real survivor ! |
