I've noticed a few people out there looking for the elusive '61 Plymouth. I'm in the midst of finishing up a few things on the recent manifold swap at which time I will be able to let this one go to a new home.

Edmonton built car so it has the Dodge interior, decent dash pad and horn bar without the Plymouth inscription. Original black on red car with new carpet. Front seat needs help, back seat original. Slant 6 with newly rebuilt head and dual single bbl Offenhauser manifold. When this car was offered before it was known for the rusty floors and rockers, these have all been replaced.

Lots more to share so please PM me for more information. I'm posting it here ONLY, for now, so let's just keep it amongst friends till I get it all dialed in. Thanks, Andrew

$14,000 entertaining offers of course.

Wow. I like that you kept it original. Does the six have a mechanical or hydraulic cam? As those look like mechanical rockers to my old eyes.
Have you also rebuilt the transmission? Looks like the parking brake works as there's no wheel chocks. I looked at a 61 New Yorker lately and as usual the transmission parking brake was in disrepair. We had my grandfathers hand me down 1966 Belvedere 4dr. from 1972-1975 (and his 1961 Imperial 4dr before that 1966-72) I have always been partial to all the 1961s. Your Belvedere looks great. Moving on to a new project?

Adjustable rockers remain though there's a little less material(bumped up the compression to around 9.2:1)No trans work done by me. Parking brake operational. I want room for the Dart in the garage.

All buttoned up and ready to roll. It's much peppier than I remember it being before the head work and manifold install. I miss stated that this is an Edmonton built car. The car came out of Edmonton but was of course built in Windsor, Ontario. Spread the word.

(I'm interested in trading for a 1956 D500 if anyone has one just lying around collecting dust.)

Great talking this a.m. This project is complete and has the Street Appeal vey! very!! nice. These cars have a silent following of buyers you might say, as i found out when I had my Fury and my Belvedere The leaning Tower of Power is building an avid following with the younger car enthusiast. One bit of advise from an old fool Put Chrome Wing Nuts on the Air Cleaners. If you've ever noticed restoration guys spend thousands on parts and pieces and the very last thing they do after all that is ……. you guest use the old carb bolt and wing nut and call it totally restored. One more thing I noticed the fuel filter should be the clear see though, the aluminum one takes away from the silver/blue engine colour you choose and an excellent choice I might add. I was driving one of these in a 64 Plymouth when the SBC 350 [stock engine] was popular back then and to many a surprise when that 225/six gave all they wanted up to 70mph So I can only imagine what this one of yours can do in that 61 Belvedere as it is now. Sporty Slimline design as compared to that 64 box I had.
