Hey Steve,

Im really sorry. I guess this is just a little bit off subject but your question reminded me of my Dad. I would ask him a question like that when I was a kid and his answer would be "its there to make little boys ask questions". He always messed with me. Once I saw him getting into his car and I asked him where he was going. He said with a very serious face "I'm going back to the hardware store. They sold me a box of nails with he heads on the wrong end". I swear I thought about that forever and always wondered.

Again, sorry I can't help you but please HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Karl.

Yes the second floor button is for changing the radio station on the 7 button radios. You can have fun with your passengers telling them the car is possessed.

It's a remote 'search' switch for the radio.....the car radio came with a 'local' and 'distant' button at either end of the five station push buttons. You could push the 'local' or 'distant' button and the radio would automatically search for the strongest radio signal. The button on the floor was there to offer a 'remote' search using your foot rather than having to push the buttons on the radio.

There aren't stupid questions; just stupid answers...sometimes.
