I am trying to put together a set of matching 14 inch wheels for my 58 Firedome. Anyone have a picture of a stock wheel for this car? There seem to be several diffrent styles of center hubs. Some have holes for locating pins, some have bumps for the dog dish caps, some have a higher profile between wheel stud holes to clear rivits on the rear hub. What is correct? What should stock rim width be? Correct color? Thanks

This is what mine look like. It has the nubs for the dog dishes, the extra holes, and the higher profile for the rivets. 3 out of 4 were all the same so that likely means this is the wheel it came with. All Chrysler wheels come with dog dish cap nubs, except possibly the Imperial wheels. I am not sure of those.

I have a full set of fully restored (been hydrocleaned) date coded 58 Desoto wheels from my 58 Firedome that I have been rocking as to whether I should sell them .
Only problem is I am in Australia ! I would ship them , but I don't think you would like the postage price

Not sure which wheels they are for Nathan , (maybe firesweep or optional correct efor dog dish hubcaps ) as Dog dish hubcaps were offered, not sure why mine are smooth, but both our wheels look the same otherwise .

But mine are the originals (my car is 37K miles ) and are date coded as original and the spare wheel is the same and has the original tyre . Maybe the Doc might know , as he has had dog dish hub caps fir these cars and been around these cars forever

I believe that the wheels you show would be the only ones available for the Adventurer and Fireflite. The nubbed versions may have only been used when a person opted for the dog dish caps or it may have been used based on supply at the time. But a Firedome or Firesweep could have been equiped with the dog dish caps and would have used the rims like mine in that case. This is a picture of a '58 Firedome being assembled with dog dish caps at the factory.

My car is 37,000 Mile original and is a Firedome Coupe with full wheel covers , so that theory goes out the window . But as you say maybe if you ordered the dog dish hubcaps you got the nubbed wheels like yours .
Would be great to see the build sheet /historic info on your car ,as on my historic sheet it has option code number 1 as "Wheel covers". Come to think of it maybe dog dish were standard if my sheet shows the full wheel covers as an option , which is only common sense . I may be wrong .

Where do you find date codes? I am guessing you have to remove the tire from the wheel? I am trying to figure out which wheels are the originals for a 1957 Dodge D500 car. I think the original wheels are on a different car in the collection I bought but I am not sure how to tell. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
