Anyone know what width of whitewalls were shipped on 61 - 62 Chryslers?

I think they were narrow whites about 1 inch wide. Some of the tire websites might actually state the width in their ads.

The 1961 brochure still shows the wide whites like in 1960 but the 1962 brochure shows narrower ones.

Yes, 1962 went to the narrow 1" whitewalls, but 1961 they were 2 3/8 max maybe even 2 1/4"

The correct whitewall width for a 1961 Chrysler is 2-1/4 inch.

While it is true that whitewall width varied slightly dependent on manufacturer, the variance isn't very much and the 2-1/4 inch whitewall will give you the correct original look.

The 1961 model year was the last year of the true wide whitewall (white all the way to the bead). The 1962 models were the first to be equipped with the white stripe sidewall (typically one-inch stripe, though there was a lot more variance seen).
