Subject: Help on decoding

Just got a new project and was
wondering if anyone could help
Decode and tell me what I have
It's a 57 dodge coronet 2 door hardtop
And I will attempt to attach the fender
tag and vin no guarantees though

The body plate signifies a nicely optioned Custom Royal but the VIN is a Coronet number.

Your VIN plate may not be correct for the car. The plates were never riveted onto the body. They were spot welded on.

Yes, Brad, the body plate is obviously showing two tone blue paint. That is certainly " more correct" than the pop-riveted VIN plate!

The owner has a mysterious historical trail to chase! I can offer a fun clue. The body plate is coded for "shaded sun visors". These plastic visors were a rare option for 57 Dodges seldom seen today! So, Mr. owner, how is your car actually equipped?

Still have lots of boxes to go through just getting going. Not able to get info as easy as mustangs or Camaro's lol
Looking forward to the challenges it is the last one I'm going to do
