Veteran Posts: 135 | Hello every one I'm new to forums and was told this is the one for me. I have purchased a 1963 imperial with 29k on it from a buddies dad. The car has been in the barn since 74 I did get car running and driving but in turn have bent a push rod in cylinder 5. The motor is out and at shop to get redone so while I have motor out I am going to clean fire wall and frame and put disc brakes on front. Any help or tips would be great .thanks again new friends Edited by Fick4fun 2016-04-10 7:10 PM (rps20160410_171343.jpg) Attachments ---------------- rps20160410_171343.jpg (78KB - 246 downloads)

Veteran Posts: 135 | Started tearing the front end off and let me tell you that thing is heavy. Lots of work to do on the fire wall before it gets paint and I'm going to por the frame where I can get at it for now. Any body know where I can get a brake booster. Veteran Posts: 135 | I am going to keep it as close as I can to that. It doesn't need much but when u have the motor out might as well clean and paint fire wall. I am also putting disc brake conversion on front so it is safer for family drives. I'm just trying to get it a little more up to date 30+ years on a barn does not help some things. I'll show u pics and what ever on it way to not being changed much

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7205 Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | Nice car, welcome. Many people will tell you this is technically not a Forward Look car, but I will agree to disagree with them, as it retains the last vestiges of the Forward Look design by Virgil Exner! Basically it is a 61 Imperial with the fins shaved down, but IMHO the fins are still there, albeit almost horizontal! So there. :-)

Veteran Posts: 135 | I wish I didn't have to pull apart at all but you can't win every time. Wish I would have pulled off tires first would have been easier I'll prob finish fire wall this weekend and prob start putting it back together. I need to find passenger inner shear panel in the fender well this one is missing.

Veteran Posts: 135 | Yes and I am going disc brakes on front and look for all the bushings and front suspensions parts to make it like new.

Elite Veteran Posts: 943 | Beautiful car! I have a '63 convertible. Try Booster Dewey exchange if you still need a booster.
