Anyone know where exactly the Fender/VIN tag is on a 1957 New Yorker 4dr sedan???? Either mine is missing or its been hiding real good all these years...

Hi Billy,
The "VIN" or serial number should have its own tag, inside the front driver's door, on the c pillar. The tag with the rest of the build data, should be on the rad support , just when you open the hood, on a U.S. built car.

Actually, on my 57 NYer the build data tag is on top of firewall on the right passenger side. Maybe because it was built in the LA plant. It still has the "one way" screws and they seem to be intact so I don't think the tag has been moved, although the car has had one overspray in the past.
