i have the dealer booklet with order codes. you could order it that way regularly. lots of 2 tone/sportone cars around without an oyster white roof and front fender sections.

Even with the front fender trim as a paint devider some 1960 Plymouths were 1 solid color.

The 1960 Plymouth buyer had a choice of four paint schemes -

AA1 - The whole body was painted one colour (standard)

AB2 - Two Tone - Roof was colour A and the rest of the car was colour B (optional)

AB3 - Sport Tone - Roof and insert was colour A and the rest of the car was colour B (optional)

AB4 - Special Sport Tone - The whole car, except the insert, was colour A while the insert was colour B. (optional)

A car with body in Desert Beige with Caramel Metallic insert would be TY4.

Black or white could be matched with any colour for two tones, but the rest had some restrictions. The factory would not build a car, for example, with a Sky Blue roof and insert with the rest of the car done in Plum Red Metallic.

It was up to the person ordering the car as to what colours it would be painted. Single tone colour was standard - no extra charge. But if you wanted any of the two tone or sport tone selections you paid extra. You could get special colours - colours not on the order sheet - but that would cost you.
