Thanks to mstrug for posting this car in the CL area. It was about an hour from where I live. Flathead w/ 3 onda tree, radio delete and a few other options. I can't wait for the weather to calm down so I can hang a aux gas tank and fire it up.

Glad you got it! I like the door panels. Where was it built? It's just fancy enough to get those side slash ornaments, That's cool. Marc.

LOVE the color and the door panels! great car, nothing beats patina, unfortunately impossible to preserve it that way, if you want to drive it.

Pics I hope!!! The broadcast sheet was in the headliner. When I pulled it home the headliner was flopping loose and I found the broadcast sheet in the back floorboard. I wasn't planning on going through all of this on this car but it deserves to be preserved. I'm going to paint the dash and new headliner and windlace since I have it at this stage. The paint will buff out and I'll leave it at that. This car is really preserved compared to most FL cars of this age. I'm glad the windshield had been broken because it forced me to find these area of rust that needed to be addressed before it got any worse.

Congratulations Dorsey, it lives! A few minor adjustments and you'll be on your way. I don't know why, but I am really liking the height of the roof you have there. Makes it look not as long, which I like. I guess it contrasts with all the hardtops I have been seeing lately.

While I still do not like 59 Dodges on aesthetic principles, this is about as
cool as one can possibly be. Get some dog dishies on that beast (with some
blackwalls), and you will get my first 59 Dodge "endorsement".

Great monotone color !

Cruise away, Dorsey!! You just might make it in "people of Wal-mart" with that ride!

It must be difficult, however. With a car like that you'd be compelled to grin--which may mean bugs and gnats in your teeth with that 'clean' windshield!

You ought to pretend to be wiping the windshield when the girl walks up with your tater-tots!

It saves having to roll the window down in order to spit your chewing gum out! Just don't do it at speed!!

Great save and it appears to be really solid for its age. I once owned a 4-door stripper too, but it had the 325 cu in V-8 and a manual transmission. It was pretty snappy, but I sold it to a friend when I moved out of state back in the 1980s. I wish I had it now however. I liked the styling of the Dodge in 1959 - they looked menacing.

Wow it is cool that you can drive without a windshield - probably kind of a convertible feeling :-) I wonder that you don't have problems with the police. If I do not have a windshield on my car in my country I guess the police would quickly stop me and ask my technical inspection documents.
