You got a pommie rocket to fix Chuck?

The clear wheels are a pain to fix short of re casting, you can only end up with a painted wheel

Must get around to doing the casting of my dodge wheels (buick got in the way )

I hope you find somebody Chuck. While the end result is really nice $1200-1500 is a lot of money for a steering wheel. Keep us informed of your findings.

i was thinkin just a plain painted wheel . i just caught the end of an isetta steering wheel being redone on wheelers and dealers from the UK for 200 pounds , a little over 300$
US . just started wondering how much a US car wheel would cost to have redone over there----------------------------------------------later

I visited both internet pages and I do not have the impression that they (both) ever restored a transparent (clear, lucent) steering wheel like e.g. from a 1960 Chrysler.

Happy restoring!

Dieter

No Dieter, pearlcraft dont do the clear, but they would repair the wheel then pearl it

Did you see the 2 toning they did, looks nice

Personally though, I like the clear

I used D & D Automobilia for my '59 Sport Fury clear wheel. It was $600 back in '03, I'm sure the price is much higher today.
