Veteran Posts: 172 Location: Newcastle, NSW AUSTRALIA | mikes2nd - 2019-07-26 2:40 AM what? your old motor was shot? why just not get a new trans? or you grabbed a trans off a 318? No motor was good but is 65 model & the bellhousing pattern is different so a previous owner removed the locating dowels to get them to bolt together hence it doesn't line up correctly. So I have found a 60 model motor that will just need to rebuild it original trans has been rebuilt.

Veteran Posts: 172 Location: Newcastle, NSW AUSTRALIA | Hi Mick, This has been the only real surprise only other problem has been sourcing bits but that's sorted & once the motor is built & swapped I'll be cruising. Although I still have to get engine parts so I shouldn't speak to soon. Cheers Gra

Expert 5K+ Posts: 8443 Location: Perth Australia | I used falcon global engine rebuild kit for the dodge for a standard kind of build. The cam I got re ground by wade cams (i think) Gary Pavolich can also supply a lot, but at more cost Depends on how you want to build it Not sure if your on it, but there is a FB page for the poly https://www.facebook.com/groups/542278482490634/

I will do a full rebuild hope to use the heads I had done on it do you know if 1965 poly heads fit on a 1960 poly ? also need to find a intermediate shaft The 60 motor has already been oversized it has flattop pistons I have to measure it up to see if I will oversize it again or sleeve it back.
