Had to step aside from polishing but back to polishing sets now... ugh.

I heard Vans is going to repop the channeled down antenna's. I may sell these through Vans also.

I have the standard 60's -70's stainless replacement antennas. Correct length 3 piece with round ball on tip

I'm not interested anymore. Because apparently for 57/58 MoPars. They do not fit a 1960 Chrysler.

Happy Restoring!

I'm going to be bulk chroming and they are all roughed in now so I'm trying to save some money by getting them all done in bulk.

With the amount of work we are probably looking at 400+$ a set with gaskets, nipples, antennas and antenna mount. I know they were 450$ before but I should be able to be under that. Dennis charged 50$ a mast also? or was the total 550$? They have a different mounting system slightly. I made these so you can drop the antenna if you want to put a car cover on

. It will be wing nutted on one screw, undo the wing nut, swing the bracket over and you can push the antenna down for covered storage. At least that's the idea. This will be ready to accept coax which is up in the air since many people want to route them differently. and it needs a merge of the two wires. Merge up close? or run two long coaxes?

The masts are period correct but not the necked down originals and not junk(I have a limited supply of those so once they are gone you'll have to pay big bucks for masts(vans charges 100$ a mast)... I will not find those ever so unless someone makes them... that ain't happening and they are the exact length though. I know you can buy cheapy shorties. These are just a hair thinner also so I'm using custom nipples. You can simply widen them to use original masts which are easier to get from single antenna cars. Once mine are gone if you looking for good quality three piece masts I think you'll have to pony up 85-100$ for 3 piece good quality longer stainless for late 60's-70's cars. I can't find anymore correct length ones for anything reasonable. I see a few repops show up on ebay for 30-50$ a piece so I might need to resort to those if I run out.  I will probably lose money on this deal

I received some extra gaskets, can start molding those finally.  I hope my rubber isnt too stiff.

It took me an extra few months to receive these, finally found someone with some spares.

I will be selling these also since Gary is out of stock.

Mike, check that the material used for the top antenna guide is RF-proof, or the antenna signal may be attenuated or even short-cut. This piece I would do in 3D-Printing from a model.

The material for the gasket should be better than the ones offered, becoming soft after a few year.

Nice job, but technical details have to be considered.  - SERGE -

:

Now I have added a STL-File (505k -> not accepted), thus a ZIP-File for you can direct 3D-Print this piece. The antenna diameter is not FWL-like,

but according available antenna masts (8.9mm). If you give me your dimensions I will adapt it for you.  - SERGE -

Rear Antenna Gaskets: to be correct: the left and right antenna gasket are slightly different. As they are offered too big they fit on both.

Here again some RealViews as reference of the gaskets and the rear antennas.  - SERGE -

N.B. The antenna body could be done as well by 3D-Printing with the STL-Files of the shown design. Accuracy with other tested 3D-Printed parts was 0.1mm.

As done here by Mike as well OK, but more "Original" and more manual job!

yeah ill be making extras, this has been a pita! I have to mold 3 times for the gaskets and 3 for the nipples to get it right. The ones from goers were really rough so I built with clay them up so I can smooth them up.

there were also two versions, one too short and one the right length... and they were warped...

f'ing eh its been a long haul.. I guess if I was going to make money on this deal it would help but eh.

anyways after back and forth chromer is content with the polishing level(he said he will do the final step and then he hem hawed for months and said im finally in line) and I had to be very very explicit about don't buff the sharp edges off please! One guy who said he would polish them took 3 sets and polished the edges right off... k thanks...

I will sell with two types of antennas. I made the tips "drillable" to whatever size you need. I have two types of masts. No one makes a original but one is chromed and the other stainless. (I do have a new contact though so maybe...)

I might have a hook on a couple sets of originals also.

The center is the orignial ball, next biggest is the chromed mast, smallest is the stainless. Stainless is least expensive.

Kit will come with two bases, two gaskets, two masts and two tips and hardware. You can worry about the wiring

okay I have sold 2 chromed sets sold, one raw pending, I have one raw available. I wont be able to sand/prep more till it warms up.

with "small ball/fixed cone" antenna its 300$ shipped. These masts are just a fraction smaller than stock.

with "large ball/removeable end" antenna add 70$ Stock ball size and stock mast size.

You get two masts/two bases(unpolished but just needing final sanding/polishing), two gaskets and two tips.

You'll need to drill tap holes for bolts for mounting, figure out "base plate" underneath and a way to hold antenna up inside.

Remember I made the antennas so you can move the plate underneath (rotate to one side and then push mast into the trunk) for storing the car with a car cover.

I was going to use a wingnut with a slot on the base plate to move it aside and allow the antenna mast to move down.

chromed sets are 535$, add 70 with the big ball masts. and come with tapped studs and base plates.

I wont be able to get anymore sanded/polished/chromed until it warms up a bit. have to get in line for chroming also.

Im also thinking I only want to sell "kits" from now on. Dealing with "reasonably priced" chromers is not an easy task.

I can get it done quickly if I want to pay 200$ a base for chrome... but I am trying to keep costs down.
