Hey Guys, When I 1st set that eng in thought I was going to cut a fat hog in the *ss. The closer I got to dr. line angle the less clearance for the dist. Got down to one of two choices, cut a notch in the front xmember or cut the pan. I opted to cut the pan. All the while I'm doing this I'm thinking, it takes balls to cut up an oil pan but the other option was less desirable. My oxy regulator is screwed up so I used the wire feed welder. Stitch welding doesn't leave a nice bead but does the job. I put the pan back up, reconnected the trans and now have about 1/2" dist clearance to the heater housing and about 1/4" clearance for pan to xmember. Had to cut the eng mounts to match the crossmember angle. A little time consuming but came out nice. The dr line angle now came in at 4 and 4. I have the eng/trans ass'y offset to pass side 1/2" I hoping this is in a straight parallel line with the diff pinion. Guess I'l find out later. Jerry

Thanks, John !! I rechecked all my measurements this AM and tack welded the mounts to the frame. Will be able to finish welding them after taking the eng. out. Got just enough room to get the oil filter out between the idler arm and the T-bar. Now on to throttle and shift linkage. This ought to be fun !! Jerry
