Location: Western Colorado | I need a good aluminum bodied Thompson power steering pump for my 58 New Yorker. Mine isn't re-buildable, according to the rebuilder. The part number for the pump assembly is 1733496.
Thanks

Location: Arizona | There is another thread on a power steering pump for a 60 desoto. The poster said he found that if you looked up NAPA listings for a 68 Fury you would get a listing of power steering pumps including one that would interchange. I tried and you do and two of them are Thompson pumps with plain end shafts w/o reservoir. I don't know if it interchanges with a 58 or what the difference between the two of them is. If your is apart you might take it down to a NAPA and see if they have them and do a compare.
