This looks like it is by RSVP only. Check the 2015 event calendar thread. Does anyone else want to go - it's been a while since we have been on a cruise!

I am going to meet several folks at the Diamond Shamrock, southwest corner of C470 and Santa Fe (8071 Blakeland Drive) at 9:30 a.m.
We leave from there at 9:45 a.m.

I am sure anyone who wants to go is welcome.
However, if you have not RSVP'd at this point, you are "on your own" for the picnic!

I will bring my camera.

That was a really fun event. We gathered at the Diamond Shamrock promptly at 9:30. Ivy Richard was there to organize our trip to Larkspur. We had two groups with designated leaders and chase cars. The weather was perfect. We drove south on Santa Fe (85) to Sedalia and then took Perry Park Road (105) to Larkspur. It was 40 miles of winding, two-lane roads that were very fun to drive. Seeing a line of brightly colored Chrysler products fore and aft was fantastic.

We arrived in Larkspur and pulled into a park for the picnic. Other MoPar groups from the southern part of the state met us there. There was no "show" per se, we just parked the cars and enjoyed a wonderful pot luck picnic. That's my type of event! I saw several people I knew (Christoph, the Tuthills, the Richard family, the Amberg family, Rick Clapham) and met several very nice folks. Unfortunately, John Quinn could not attend because he is having back trouble again. I wish we would have had more participation from our group, but maybe next time.

The cars were fantastic - a really wide range and great variety. Restored, original, new, rough, and everything in between. My '58 was the oldest car to make the trip (!) and Tom Amberg's gorgeous '59 Fury was the only other Forward Look, but there were several 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and 21st century cars in attendance.

Early in the afternoon, folks started to leave the picnic and make the trip back to their happy homes.
A lot of folks flexed their muscle as they left, the Hellcat made a very strong impression.
I travelled back the same way we came with the Ambergs (Tom, Marianne, and their son Chris).
I had the pleasure of following their wonderful '59 Fury the whole way - what a great sight through my windshield!
