I'll be there Friday the 3rd of July, most probably the car will be parked in the WPC club corral! I look forward to meet old and new friends!

Location: FIN land		Me too, from Thu to Sun, exited to see if we can find a hotel, only have a room for the first night.. I made my reservation on last december so I was terribly late. I've been visiting there since the late eighties and somehow I felt tired last year and felt I should try some other foreign meet this summer...but no, it seems I'll find myself from Västerås once again : ) I have to admit it is too difficult to stay away, Power Meet is definately THE BEST happening on this planet.



P.S. I would be interested to visit in Classic car week Rättvik, those of You who have visited there please tell Your experiences of that happening...would it be a good alternative choise for a regular Power Meet visitor or just a disappoinment...???

Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island		The Classic Car Week is like a time machine, The small city of Rättvik is crowded with all types of Classic cars and the whole week is full of events suitable for all!
The CCW is "more" than PBM because you'll see all those Beautiful cars in their natural ambient

To me it sounds like spread the word where to get and when. Thats it!
If there are 200 fwls there and 10% of them get there, to same parking lot - it is already quite a nice meet.
You dont need to arrange band, show girls, wet t-shirt competition or anything at all.
people drink their own beer or use services what ever available.
Thats how the other meetings are arranged.

Printing posters and sharing them to windshileds of FL-cars at the area etc. When the event is closed for the night (18.00) people are willing to drive anywhere but the biggest self made traffic rush. Well some people may enjoy diriving 500 meters in 2 hours but still... So options are cruising (where you cannot Cruise), Hälla shopping center, Autotec party why not FL-meet for FL-cars. I know now 2 Chryslers coming there. I'll give a can of Lapin kulta to Joakim and he will third
Its maybo to late to execute this for this year but I am willing to try next year. I am gonna seek places on that eye.

Dead on Mark! Yes, many Swedes go ape about all the bling bling stuff; search lights, curb feelers, jetty (Connie kit), fender skirts, half blind headlights, false exhaust bling...... It'll never stop. Fuzzy Dices, pillows blankets, dolls, shoes, coo coo Clock and God knows what in the cars.......

I appreciate many other cars of the fifties and sixties, but when I see one overloaded with crap I'm close to vomit

I noticed the same thing. A lot of '58 GM, '50's Cadillacs, and '50's cars in general. There are a LOT more '50's cars in this lineup than you typically see in the states. A similar lineup here in the states would have more 20's & '30's cars, and especially far more '60's cars. But no one seems to like the late '70's or 80's with the possible exception of the turbo Buicks and an occasional Corvette from that period.
