Location: Michigan | CEMA-Sponsored 26th Annual Charity Car Show is June 6th
The Chrysler Employee Motorsport Association (CEMA) will host its 26th Annual Charity Car Show on the grounds of the Walter P. Chrysler Museum from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 6.
This year’s theme is the “the Jet Age of Automotive Design.” There also will be a tribute to the ”60th Anniversary of the Chrysler 300 Introduction.” CEMA’s local charity recipient for 2015 is Leader Dogs for the Blind.
The show honors all vehicles while highlighting “the progressive Jet Age inspired vehicles” of the past. The show is open to all makes and models of vehicles, not just FCA US products, and you do not have to be a company employee to “show” your favorite car or truck.
Preregistration is only $15 through May 30, and the first 200 paid registrations will receive a goody bag and dash plaque. Vehicles can be registered on the website at www.cemaclub.org, which is accessible through work.
Day-of-show vehicle registrations ($20) also are welcome. More than 20 awards will be given in several different judging classes.
The car show itself is free to spectators, so family and friends are welcome. Shuttle service to the show grounds will be available all day from Lot 26. The Walter P. Chrysler Museum (closed since 2012) will be open during the car show – this one day only. Don’t miss your chance to tour the facility again. Food will be available all day, along with a local DJ, many vendors and lots of beautiful vehicles to admire.
CEMA membership is open to all FCA US employees and retirees. Visit the website (www.cemaclub.org) for more information on how to join.
