A couple of you have asked me if I was able to get any pictures of the 1957 Adventurer that a guy from NE Pennsylvania has asked me to post for him. I did manage to get ONE, which certainly won't tell the whole story of a car. However, it may prompt some of you to be a bit more interested and want to follow up. If so, email me and I'll give you the seller's contact information. Remember, the interior isn't original, the engine is "done up" like an Adventurer one, but is really from a Firedome, and he doesn't have the gold wheelcovers. He was/is asking $32,500

I am not going to buy it, but it looks very cool to me! Better than 100% of the cars I noticed on the drive into work this morning.

The "friend of the seller", who was my original contact, asked me to re-post, saying that the seller is now willing to negotiate, since he hasn't been flooded with calls at his asking price. Anyone?

Ed, Cant you get the seller to take some photos of the car so perspective buyers can see whats on offer?

He needs interior, engine bay, all sides and (good if possible) underside shots

How can someone form an opinion (and judge value) on a car with the "pictures" provided

Go and twist their arm, they will be happy if they get a good price for their car once the pictures turn up

With those pictures, it could have gaffa tape holding the rust in on the lower quarters for all we know

I don't disagree with the need for pictures. Seller doesn't communicate well with me. It took some begging to get the pics I posted. I think if he really wanted to sell badly enough, he WOULD give me more pics. I'll try again, though, because he's not getting much interest.

$32k seems like a fair number for a drivable '57 Adventurer, assuming it's not a rusty disaster underneath the paint.

At that price point, you can be sure to get back every dollar you put into "fixing" the problems.

If he really wanted to move the car, he could do so with more detailed photos. It's just about the most desirable FL there is.

I like the modern ranch house it's parked next to, too.

Well Danny, I bet you have the 32 grand in your desk drawer. So why don't you buy it and make some fat greenbacks on it ?

When selling an old piece of iron, you shoul do like Andy with the '60 New Yorker on here. Then you'll really see what you'll get.

Now, as for me, I paid US 86 dollars and 64 cents for my '57 Golden Adventurer, 345 HEMI with 2X4 bbl and all the available options you could get, just a "few" years ago. A "few" years compared to a man's lifetime

I have a pic of the same kind of car for US$ 4.500,oo also from a few years back. What makes the same kind of cars at least 10 times more worth today than 30 years ago, is way over my head of understanding.

Expensive cars and very expensive lodging at meets, certainly excudes young people from this hobby. Sonn we'll take this hobby with us in the grave. But who cares, as long as there is mony to make this very moment of our life ?

Whenever I get the time, I'll post a whole lot of FL cars for sale from a "few" years back. Everyting from a US$ 6000,oo perfect '57 Chrysler 300 C to several '60 DeSoto Adventure 2 door hard-tops. If, and when I get the time that is.

old fart

Thanks! Pretty complete car. Missing the correct front seat, right side arrow and fender badge. I located a S26 A engine. Need a source for interior. Many thanks to Ed Petrus!
