Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | NOW PRICED AT $4999 FIRM with all extras listed above ... EXCEPT the 4 new radial narrow white wall Firestore FR380 tires are not included at that price. Tires currently on the car hold air fine and are OK for moving it around or light driving but should eventually be replaced, best with proper Wide White Bias Ply tires to be correct. Checked with SMS and they have the correct seat cloth and vinyl material IN STOCK (sent me samples for verification) to re-do the 3 seat cushions, we already have the correct original NOS seat cover from OAE for the lower front cushion, included. Expert Posts: 1267 Location: San Antonio TX | I'm interested. Whether or not I buy it depends on whether or not the deal on a 61' Chrysler goes through or not. As of right now, it's looking unlikely. If it does fall through I'll let you know. That's a great looking vehicle, and I could definitely afford to fix it up a bit.

Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | It was for sale here over much of the last year. The Swedes are smart enough to buy a good car when they see it, and by the time it gets there it will several thousand more expensive for them, to boot. Too many US buyers hem and haw and won't step up to the plate. Edited by firedome 2015-03-31 9:33 AM

Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | I hated to sell this car, but health dictated it as I can't do any of my own work anymore. Just grateful someone could see the car for what it is, as finding the right owner was most important.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 363 | mikes2nd - 2015-08-26 4:21 PM okay 19k now. it was probably a couple grand shipping to Sweden. If the Swedish are anything like us down here in NZ, yeah a coupla grand shipping + loading/unloading + road transport to the port + taxes + duties + cleaning + import/broker fees + a decent amount of stress + lots of patience and tolerance of idiots involved along the way ( I had a forkhoist truck put a hole through the grill and radiator of one of my cars) A coupla grand turns into 4, 5 or 6 grand and a few years off your life if it goes badly........ The importer deserves to make some bucks on it I reckon......but maybe not quite that many.

I belive that Roger think his car was going to a Forward Look fan that would love it and drive it, not to a dealer who just vant to make money of it. But let's hope that the next buyer will take care of it. Torben 58WindsorDartline

Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | Don't know if Martin is a dealer, I do know he had a 2 dr NYer before, he sent me pics of it, and wants another one, supposedly the reason for selling the Windsor is to buy one. I can't complain because I've done it myself. Still, 19 large seems a lot, if that's the price... can someone translate the ad in English? I can only read a little of it. It wasn't running but maybe it is now? I wish I still had the car :-( Edited by firedome 2015-08-27 6:50 AM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 5006 | eh its probably 7k in profit... I don't begrudge him. I have two FW projects so I got mine... There are TONS of "want" ads out there on all the websites(Swedes (flipper businesses) are cleaning up USA leftover projects)... I'm not kidding, a lot of money is trolling the states right now... Its not a big deal to me but you better get them while the getting is good, prices are going to skyrocket

Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | What blows my mind is that in a YEAR no US buyer stepped up, even at 5 grand, yet with just minor improvements it's now offered at 19 Grand over there! Clearly it shows, if nothing else, that this country is rapidly becoming 3rd rate, if it isn't already, at least compared to Scandinavia! No wonder virtually all surveys show that happiness and life satisfaction is higher in Sweden, Norway and Denmark than any other place in the world... most people here have no idea what it's like there, as they've never been there to see it. Its not a big deal to me but you better get them while the getting is good, prices are going to skyrocket I do agree that many classic American cars are leaving the US. I hope I will be able to find my Forward look car before the prices to skyrocket. It is just amazing how many late 50s cars you can see in Skandinavian countries. And yes it is sad that nobody in the US appreciated this nice car.
