So if this dealership bldg is outside of the fairgrounds, is it safe to assume we don't enter the fairgrounds at all??? Do we just drive right to the dealership bldg and not gate 2?? How's that work??

The building and the area for the FL cars are not within the fairgrounds. We were up there today and parked next to the tent.
I don't know how they are going to work that but hopefully someone who knows what is going on will let us know ahead of time.
If not then play it by ear and show up at the dealership to find out.

Catch ya later.
Thank a vet.

Well, unfortunately, it looks as though I won't be taking my 58 there in the end, as my plans have changed for after the show.. I'll go anyway, but with my modern car. See you guys there!

Is the showfield the same as the Dealership? Or is that yet a different venue?
Going to jump into the car in the morning. But will check before I go to see if there is any further news.

Well we made it. 550 miles and Penny did real well. 17 miles to the gallon. Not bad for 70-75 MPH. It's raining now.. hopefully will get to clean her up before heading into the fairgrounds. See you all in the morning.

The show was great! Finally I got to see the cars and meet the people of Forward Look. I went for the 4 days and loved every minute. The weather was excellent and the cars even better. My only dissapointment is that there were only a few FL Imperials. No 57, 58, 59 or 60's. I was also keen to check out a LWB 60 Dodge, but none showed up. None the less, the cars that were on show more than made up for the ones that did not. I took hundreds of pics, and will post the best on the site when I get home to Australia. My thanks to the people who made this happen and those who brought their fantastic cars. Steve.

It was a great weekend, a great show, nice cars, and fantastic people. But I was, also, disappointed in the
showing of Forward Look cars. I was hoping that we would fill the whole parking area. But it was just a
normal showing. Here are a couple pics of Sunday.

To bad that I couldn't get there to put this '59 Survivor on display. I hope that someone can put this car back on the road so that it can admired for all of its Factory Options.

My brakes locked up again. Sat. morning I pulled the whole pedal assembly. Between the 2 pivot points, I found an 1/8"+ of play. I thought that that HAS to be it. Temp. fixed them and headed over and figured to arrive around noon Sat. Unfortunately, if I may the rod closer, the brakes wold get harder but then the wouldn't release, so backing the pedal off, they would release but then the got soft.
Just before I got on the Pa. turnpike, I thought I smelled anti-freeze so I pulled over to check all under the hood and found a pin hole in the raditator at the top in the solder area. I figured I could get there if I released the pressure. Stayed cool at half temp. for the hour+ drive. Picked up my sister in Harrisburg and headed over. I pulled into gate 3 and no one could recognize the parking # they gave me so I headed in and drove all over and no official could tell me where to go as my engine temp shot up. Finally, driving through the crowds, I found a vacant area and pulled over as the steam started.
Pesronally, although it was only in the mid 80s and there was a breeze, I was cooking in my own juices. After developing an allergy to the sun many years ago, I have a real low tolerence to the sun and heat.
We walked around for a half hour and I believe I found all the FL cars on the opposite side of the fair grounds but I had to go. Got back to my car and there were people sticking around asking what I wanted for it. Apparently, in my haste to park it to cool down, I parked in the sales corral. Could have sold it right as a guy had $25,000 and was ready to do a deal. "Sorry, but I am never selling her".
Oh well, that was my 2015 Carlisle experience. I'll bet Friday must have been all but perfect weather wise?
Now I have to figure out how to get my radiator repaired in the next 2 days as I am towing my boat 6 hrs up to Alexandria Bay on the Canadian border on Friday. Because it is bascially 2 highways all the way up with no stop & go driving, I might just run with the loose cap and see if I can get it taken care of up there.
Oh well, I was really interested in seeing other FL cars. All I saw were 1000s of Challengers and Chargers of many years.
later,
Karl.

Does anyone know who owns this 55 Desoto Fireflite 4dr ? Car appears to be a low mileage original. Paint scheme may be in the very rare spring special Light Taffy and Copper Rose (paint code 440). Or it could be a custom paint job.

Carlilse was a little too far for me to drive, but I did look in on the Good Guys Custom Show at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus which happened to be going on that same weekend. These are the Forward Look cars I spotted there.

Instead of hijacking the Carlisle thread, it may be a good idea to start your own thread on this topic. Then other folks that want to comment, or were there, could reply.

I always leave my hood up at a car show. So when I did at this show, and after walking around
all day (looking for parts). I returned to my car and I noticed the Air Cleaner was on wrong.
Why would someone remove my Air Cleaner? Did someone want to make sure I had a 4 Barrel
Carb., or what? This is the first time that this has ever happened.... that I know of.
