Need help sourcing a radiator for a 1960 361 Sonoramic. The radiator we have is only a 2 core, could this be correct? Would like to know where we can source a new radiator that at least has close to an original appearance....better yet an original appearance would be best.

Thanks,
Hugh

Can't provide much help, here, now, but OEM looking radiator cores are available at/via most shops, and an extra-added row of cooling
fins is a relatively easy addition to a radiator....and the result is not obviously-apparent.

Most vintage rads leak like old men, anyway, and need a bit of Tightening Up [J. Brown], and it's always good to have repair work be
done locally, if possible, if only to ensure customer satisfaction.

Everybody only really notices the appearance of a (non-)dented top tank, and/or the bottom tank, on a radiator.

Hugh, does your present radiator have an offset upper hose-fitting, or does is its upper hose connection located toward the
middle of its upper tank?

Neil, our radiator has a middle upper-hose inlet.

I am ok with having the radiator recored. So I need to probably start asking around the shops here and see who can do this work. The upper tank definitely looks like it has room for more rows.

You can change to a 3 row core, but you may have a fan clearance issue requiring a thinner fan spacer. I did on mine. Are you restoring the white Belvedere?

Jim, I have 3 different fan spacers, so hopefully I will have one that works. I am not restoring the Belvedere 3 speed car....I was wondering who ended up with that car. I went to look at it 5 or so years back before it was put on ebay. It was pretty complete, but it was a little soft all around the bottom of the car.

We are restoring a 60 plymouth convertible.
