Board Moderator Posts: 21 | The Mopar Survivors display is managed by Mel Major, who can be contacted at the address provided in the earlier post. Mel is extremely helpful and a great organizer. My Dad's all original '59 Chrysler Windsor Spring Special was fortunate to be displayed in the exhibit tent a few times. The invitational exhibit in building T is organized by Carlisle Events. Board Moderator Posts: 21 | Hello Everyone, In regard to registering for the show, ' Forward Look Network ' is our club name. When this is notated on your registration, it provides a record of how many owners with their vehicles are attending and helps in numerous ways on the layout of our area and some events that are now in the planning stages. Details will be posted as they develop. John Diekewicz 1958 Plymouth Belvedere

I have had three vendor spaces at the Chrysler nationals at Carlisle for over ten years now. I no longer vend so I sublet two spaces to my neighbor there, and place my pop up camper on the third. I tow it to the meet from Alabama, (800 miles), with whatever collector car I drive there. Last year was my 69 Chrysler 300 convertible, this year most likely a 69 Fury Custon Suburban wagon. A vendor space costs $90.00 and is for the entire event. Motels will run $125.00 and up per night. Do the math. It's great not having to deal with traffic going in and out every day, and there is a night life at the fairgrounds that's a lot of fun. Good facilities, good food connessions, It's all there. Will.

I've often thought of staying at the fairgrounds, but I split the hotel with a couple buddies. And it's usually so awful hot during the day that I look forward to the a/c at the hotel.

Location: North Australia | I have begun planning to come to this show from Darwin in Australia with my Wife . I figure this show will be my best chance to see the FL cars in the flesh. To say I am excited about this is an understatement, I hope we can pull this trip off! We have started to research the trip and I need some ideas to best use the week after the show in Carlisle. I was thinking to road trip along the coast, or maybe go to the lakes. I have seen the North east classic car museum website and have been looking for a classic boat show or museum to visit too (no luck here). Both of us are keen to see America, but not sure what our best options are? Keen to hear your ideas. Also real keen to meet the FL family during the show weekend. We should come up with an idea so we can recognise FL Network members at the show. FL Network tee shirts or hats or something like that? Steve.

Expert Posts: 1730 Location: Michigan | I would post a separate thread in the general section asking specifically what travel ideas there are for the east coast. I am not from the area so I can make suggestions but not the best ones. This will hopefully draw the attention of those FL members not attending but actually living in the area.

Especially West and South of Carlisle. I would like to visit West (by God) Virginny .......................................MO

For Maryland it is visit Maryland.org. For West Virginia it is www.wvtourism.com. Also, AAA Tour Guides will provide a broad overview. As a local, we have our picks for a Sunday afternoon ride, but everyone is different.

Elite Veteran Posts: 1172 Location: Georgia | No, Dave. A 1961 Plymouth would really make the shirt stand out. We need a shirt for the common man; no fancy Imperial here! Just kidding Dave (and Steve!!) Any design will be good, just looking forward to meeting some of you in person! Pete

Expert Posts: 1231 Location: York County, PA | Dave, this is for what it is worth. When I was a little five year old girl (about 1959), I had an ESSO shirt from the local gas station that I literally wore out. I remember it having ten or twelve 1959 models of cars on the front, and the big ol ESSO sign on the back of that t shirt. I have never seen one since, but I wish I would. It was only done in a four color (red, yellow, green, blue, plus black) scheme and was pretty primitive by today's standards. Something to think about.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 470 Location: the Great Northeast | Well the wife and I are booked at a hotel for the 4 days. I thought hard about trailering my 61 Newport down from Maine but between an unknown timeframe for restoration and other things I have going on in the same week, I am going to drop some stress and enjoy everyone else's cars. Can't wait to see you all and your cars!

Board Moderator Posts: 21 | Hello Everyone, I met with the director of the Chrysler show last week to work on some some special events that are being planned for our Forward Look presentation. Stay tuned, as some announcements should be made within the next few weeks. One topic discussed was our parking area for the show. There is space in the special exhibit area for approximately 100 vehicles . In the event that we exceed this approximate number of vehicles, we will have access to our traditional show field area near the grand stand. If anyone bringing a FL vehicle would prefer to park in our regular designated area, regardless of space availability , let me know in advance. Also, I did learn that if we have at least 25 vehicle owners write in ' Forward Look Network ' under ' CLUB ' on their registration, Carlisle will provide us with a FREE show tent. Please notate this on your form. More details to follow....... John Diekewicz 1958 Plymouth Belvedere
