Hi Torben,

Yeah shipping is not cheap nearly as much as the car but I think its worth it! They don't make them like this anymore! She is a big 2 door, she is a rare car now, in another 10 years people are going to say where did all those Cordoba's go! It will arrive in NZ on Xmas day, my xmas present

See You
Bruce

Yes very exciting! I only know of one other in NZ so it will draw a fair bit of attention! It sure is a nice looking car, I love the angular lines it has! I also like the big tail lights on the back!

Hi Everyone, My Xmas present arrived in New Zealand on the 21 Dec and I received her on the 24 Dec, here are a few photos after I cleaned the outside and got all stickers off her. She needs some work but for a 30 year old car she is in good shape. Enjoy the photos, thanks to Ernie for all his help shipping the car to me. As you can see the battery was flat, check out my 1950's battery charger I inherited from my father, still works well.

Hi guys,

When I bought this car it was leaking out the rear frost plugs. So the engine has to come out, its one of those jobs you always dread! I have just been keeping topping it up with water, the engine is in a bit of a state, it's leaking oil where ever it can. Things are rotten, rubbers are perished so the car is getting a make over, have a nice 360 and trans to go in as well as a 8.25" rear end with 3.21 gears. I think the 2.2 7.25" would not last behind the 360.

Thanks
Bruce

Hi guys, making progress, the 318 was in worse shape than first thought, it had leaking valves and looks like never oil changed often, all through the heads was caked on layers of oil that didn't wash off it needed to be chipped off, my mechanic friend never seen one so bad before, the engine was scrapped for parts. 360 now sitting in the engine bay.

Hello Everyone,

Its been a long process but now time for you to see what he Cordoba looks like now, the car was in need of a lot of work, no rust but had quite a few dents and dings on the right hand side to sort. She is dressed in a new color now, a very modern looking color but still along the blue lines.

She has had some work done, 318 to 360, 17" wheels on low profile tires, firm feel top A arms, firm feel solid pucks, kyb gas shocks, heavy feel power steering, new ball joints and sleeves, addco front and rear anti sway bars, energy spring pads, 8.25" rear end on 3.21:1 ratio, 5th ave leather steering wheel, new window rubbers and more!

Thanks
Bruce

yeah I actually like those cars. Along with the 78-79 magnum, 80-82 dodge Mirada

81 Cordoba... not so much... not the K cars... 84+ forget it.. Chrysler was horrible...

Hi Guys,

Just posted on here as this is where I bought it from, thought you may like to see the transformation. I was going to paint it back to its original color but after my friend the car painter said well this is the perfect chance to change it, so I went to a darker color, its kind of odd as these cars have muscle car running gear, are not super heavy but because they were not made in the 60/70s they are shunned by the muscle car guys! This is GREAT as it leaves cool looking cars like this at affordable prices.

56D500boy thanks for sorting my pic, I like certain cars but have an appreciation for all mopar, I don't tend to get to locked to certain years, I like 1966 Chrysler 300, the 1970 Chrysler 300 in coupes, mid 70 Cordoba's, the fin cars rock as will but would have to sell body parts to afford one of them! The 67 Belvedere/Satellites are nice as well anyway I digress.

Thanks for all the positive comments, taking 2 years to get to this stage! Just need to sort the trans now, its kinda shot, soft shifts, early up shifts can not get any improvement with kick down linkages, it slips 1st to 2nd shifts. Thinking of a TC street trans.

Many Thanks
Bruce

Hi Guys,

Well I have been busy on the Cordoba, the interior was sun damaged from California sun and 30+ years old takes its toll, I had some help and managed to track down a leather interior out of a Chrysler 5th Ave, Over the last week I grafted the leather interior of the 5th Ave into my Cordoba, came out really nice!!!

Merry Xmas
Bruce
