Expert 5K+ Posts: 6487 Location: Newark, Texas (Fort Worth) | http://www.oldride.com/classic_cars/512314.html 1958 Chrysler 300D Hardtop Coupe 1958 was the final year to see the old Fire Power Hemi in the Chrysler 300. The392 Hemi V-8 with two four-barrel carburetors was able to produce 380horsepower. Only 618 hardtops and 191 convertibles were ever made. This 300D isfinished in a desirable salmon color with a complementing light tan interior. The interior upholstery is stated to be 100-percent original. Featured in thepassenger compartment is an AM radio, push button controls for the automatictransmission, power windows, power steering and power brakes. Very few of the1958 letter cars were produced and even fewer survive. This example comes withall its hardware intact, stainless and trim is there and in goodcondition. It is a prime candidate for a full and proper restoration Edited by mstrug 2014-09-20 8:04 AM

Location: The Mile High City | The pictures are NOT good, but from what I see - it seems like a nice car for $33,500, particularly if the rare D's please! Location: North Australia | Good Intel there 927198. Shame the owner isn't making a driver from it. Someone trying to make a quick quid no doubt. Was a good buy at 24K! Steve.

Location: The Mile High City | Wow! $24,200 - that probably includes a % fee - so the top bid was probably under $24,000. Seems like a great car to drive around at that price!

Expert Posts: 2312 Location: Arizona | I looked at 4 in a row and they all went for exactly $22,550. Many of these that "sold" for $24Kish were convertibles that my gut says were worth far more than that. Such as this http://www.auctionsamerica.com/events/feature-lots.cfm?SaleCode=AS1...

Location: The Mile High City | That blue 1958 Firesweep convertible auction did seem strange to me. If I recall correctly, it was offered and sold twice in rapid succession by the same auctioneer - very similar prices too ($25,000 or $23,000). Something seemed out of whack.
