The Chrysler 300 Club International, Inc. http://www.chrysler300club.com/ will hold its 44th Annual Fall Meet in Alamogordo, New Mexico, September 17-21, 2014.
This meet, named the “White Sands 300 Classic”, is especially noteworthy because it is a joint meet with the Chrysler 300 Club, Inc. http://www.chrysler300clubinc.com/
Together the two Chrysler 300 Clubs recognize the Letter series 300’s (55 - 65), the non-Letter 300’s (62 - 71), the 70 300 Hurst, and the 79 Cordoba 300. The Clubs were founded around 1970 and together now have about 1500 members throughout the world.
Both Clubs have annual Spring and Fall meets and periodically have joint meets such as this “White Sands 300 Classic”. This meet is expected to attract over 100 members and 20 - 30 Chrysler 300 automobiles. Events are planned each day of the meet including a Car Show at Alameda Park (Alamogordo) from 10 am - 2 pm Saturday September 20th.
You are welcome to register and join in the Club activities or just visit with members and enjoy viewing their 300’s. For more information please visit the web page and look under the Events section of the web site. You may also call meet hosts Bill (678-521-3658) and Marilyn (678-521-3656) Allen or email Bill and Marilyn at billandmarilynallen@gmail.com for more information.

I had the good fortune of driving Bill Allen's clone '56 Dodge D500-1 tribute of the Lee Petty #42 race car from Allen's home downtown to the Alamogordo park where the show was held.   This car was years in the researching and building and is as authentica as possible down to the correct Kiekhaefer cast intake manifold, actual Dash-one exhaust manifolds, double center wheels, Imperial suspension, roll cage, etc.   What a thrill.  Thanks Bill.

Thanks for your posts, Carlton and Wayne. We really didn't want to miss Bill and Marilyn's meet but we had a family celebration to host. My uncle who will be 93 later this week, went overseas as a 17 year old and was a spitfire fighter/dive bomber pilot in WW II. He was shot down over North Africa in 1943 and was incarcerated as a POW and spend the last year or so of the war in Stalag Luft III and participated, in a minor part in The Great Escape.

The Royal Canadian Air Force Museum in Trenton, Ontario had an "Ad Astra Stone" dedication last weekend and my uncle was one of the veterans honoured. We had family members from Mexico, Florida, Michigan, Ohio as well as distant locations in Ontario all converge at our place for this event. We hosted an "open-house" for 20 -30 local friends who all wanted to simply shake his hand!!

I understand you had a very successful meet and we certainly had a great family/friends extra long weekend!!
