Location: cornpatch county, Southwest IOA		I had a post about my experience installing this clutch fan. It is a very easy modification that does work for a little more clearance. All bolted up, except, the fan pulley had to have the center pilot hole enlarged to fit over the adapter bushing that came with the new clutch fan.....................MO

Location: bishop, ca		Here's my Jag XJ fan clutch, with its custom-installed bronze bushing, which allowed
it to fit tightly to/against the nub of the water pump.

(That's also the 60's Hemi (supposedly) 7-blade fan, there).

Location: Building incorrect cars since 2000!!		Here is mine in a all aluminum radiator with full aluminum shroud and 4- 9" electric fans. Works very well. Wizard it came from Wizard Cooling you know anything about that

There is a little under the engine on the crossmember just to make things OEM??


T-Bone Dummer here,

Aaron, I'm so sorry to have to do this, but you do realize that engine did NOT come OEM in that car. I see quite a few discrepencies in that pic.
1. Incorrect Throttle return springs.
2. Incorrect Air cleaners.
3. Incorrect Overspray on the fan shrouds.
4. Incorrect Electric fans. That is nonsense. No FowardLook car that I know of came with electric fans. The Generator wouldn't allow it.
5. Incorrect Carb's. The OEM numbers should be BR549 on the left one, and BR550 on the right.
6. Incorrect Valve covers. They should be Pink annodized.
7. Incorrect Exhaust headers. OEM would have been Black Iron Oxide "HEMI" SuperD500 Manifolds. Just to name a few.
8. Incorrect Radiator. OEM should be cast iron, with three (3) water outlets on top for better cooling on the 318 cars as they did NOT come OEM with fan shrouds.

If you would like the OEM Parts list on your car, PM me a picture of the Data plate on that car and I will compile a list of correct parts.
Overall, it is a well done car though.

Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island		Nisse, it's not just that you need the clearance - you need enough clearance for to change the fan belt without having to demount the fan. 2765 is giving you an acceptable clearance.

Location: North Australia		For the record, I used the 2765 on my 1960 Imperial and it worked out good. (with the spigot bushing I made). My car is a non air car, and I bought the second hand bits as I intend to fit air. (Shroud, fan, pulleys, adjusters e.t.c.)

For you that need a Engine Cooling Fan to match with a Fluid Drive Unit --- go to a near by pick & pull to seek a 1980 - 1988 Cooling Fan from any Rear Wheel Driven MoPar or GM
product ( Truck - Van or car ) that DOES NOT have a Serp Belt.

The newer five paddle units pull more Air Volume - are quitter and use less energy than seven paddle units made before 1975'ish.

Easy to adapt and fits/works perfectly on our DOD/PLY cars.

I lucked into that mid-60's MoPar 7-blade fan, at a swap meet.

Location: bishop, ca		That's right; 99% of the fan clutches you'll casually find, at swap meets, and at general retail, will be the 3" wide/thick
units.

DOD/PLY cars need the 2 1/2" wide/thick clutches.

The Jag XJ and the Hayden clutches will fit.

Location: central Illinois		I just did a search on RockAuto for the Hayden 2765 and it doesn't come up. Instead they're recommending the 2665 fan clutch for the Jaguar XJ series. This 2665 seems to have several large sections protruding from the radiator side of the clutch. Does anyone have any experience or is the 2765 still available?

The 2675 is available from Summit, Amazon, etc.

The 2665 and 2675 dimensions are identical except the overall diameter and the depth; the 2665 is about 1/4" thicker in depth and 1 1/4" smaller in overall diameter.
