As we all know, color combination makes much of the car, this one has its factory colors..

The car looks great Magnus, like cold and hot at the same time!

We have some advantage down South - 10º Celsius today, so I took the first trip for the season today; our cars are stimulants indeed!

Spring is here too, 5 degrees F. now but will be in the 30s later today. You make that floor repair look so easy. I have a cheap manual roller that does the job but hard work.

I've been cruising through you guys pictures and I'd like to say you all do beautiful work! I'd love to visit Sweden sometime and explore the car culture over there, my family came from Sweden many generations ago (last name is Olson). Anyways, did you guys happen to buy a hoard of forward look cars (including a 57? Dodge convertible) from a man named Frank Schoemaker in Humboldt Kansas? He sold most of his collection around 10 years ago to some ol boys over there and I'd love to find out what happened to that convertible!

Celebrate the weekend with pictures of the three 1958 Fireflite Convertibles that are in Sweden!
In addition to these three, there are two cars in the U.S. Docs and a gentleman from Northeast.
The "Montanacar", as previously discussed, proved to be a Sweep beyond all rescue.
Today the sum is only five known 58 Fireflite convertibles left out of manufactured 474. Enjoy!

Please post pictures and information here if you are sitting on "new" old material about 1958 DeSoto Fireflite Convertible!

Here are some pictures from this weekend's swap meet in Mora. As you can see, spring is very late this year. Cold, windy and gray weather every day.
Now we long for the summer!

I love seeing the beautiful restoration work in progress!

These pictures remind me...there would be a US market for dimpled body mount sheet metal for those of us without the tools to stamp them. I had to hand make the ones for my '56 Plymouth and though they functioned, they were ugly and took a long time to make.

It looks like Jan had to re-work the deep body mount pockets too. Even well-made panels just don't make those pockets deep enough like the originals.

John & M'Lisa Fowlie on visit in Malung today. The pics is from our local car club, suitable named Big Wheels.
Of course we went for a ride in the Fireflite with Big M behind the wheel.

We wish them a nice holiday and hope they will have a good time in Sweden.

it seems that there are more forward look cars in

scandanavia than here... including the models we

lust over like 60 polaras fireflites adventurers letter

cars... we might as well all move there! the project

i like and am intriqued about is that rusty 1959

chevy biscayne airporter... how many made? by

who? most likely had a 230 hi-thrift 6 powerglide

or even 3 on the tree. i love 59 impalas. what is he

going to make a party bus? how bout this 348 x 3

corvette 4 speed or even 348 f.i.? that frame is

huge! what did it come with? where did he find it?

That Regal Lancer is gorgeous. Are the Regals considered part of the Custom Royal series? It doesn't say Custom or Royal anywhere on the car. The seats in the Regals are nicer than the 58 New Yorker seats, and nicer than the base 58 Imperial seats!!

The dealer script on this car looks to read "Jarrett/Hatboro"

That was a small family run dealer close to where I grew up

They're gone now - lost their dealership back when Chrysler was shedding dealers to recover from some disaster or another.

It was a cool place - the owner was a collector, had a Hemi 66 Charger, a few FL cars (maybe even that one actually . . . )

These pictures are simply breathtaking. Thank you for sharing. And yes, we never get enough. One car that really stood out for me is the '60 Chrysler deep red metallic convertible - it might be a Windsor??? WOW!

You are welcome - yes, that's the '60 Chrysler I was referring to. I'm generally a DeSoto guy but since DeSoto didn't have a convertible in '60, I have to go with the Chrysler. This model is so clean and uncluttered it stands out beyond anything else for 1960. Some may disagree with me but I actually like it better than the 300 probably because the lone side trim is longer and appears to be a bit lower on the car. I do like, and always have liked, the 300 grille but even the Windsor grille looks classy on this car. That color red is truly amazing - very tasteful.
