Elite Veteran Posts: 708 Location: Fredrikstad, Norway. (Europe) | Hi Magnus. Thank you very much for the reply and info on the quarters. So sorry to learn they can't be bought. My DeSoto is not driveable and it would be far to expensive to ship it to Malung and back just for the quarters. Or anything else for that matter. I know of course I can make them myself, and a friend of mine has the "English Wheel", but right now I have no time for it, and I injuried my arm/shoulder last fall, and can hardly even write. So I don't really know what to do at the moment. old fart Edited by oldefar 2013-02-21 8:17 PM

One more coat of primer! Fridberg is not a painter, it just looks that way! Thought you would like to see the latest addition in the shop! Hernando has landed!

They will survive. Health first! Would love to see pics of your car! Well Magnus, I'm not very young anymore, so I'm afraid my DeSotos as well as I, myself, don't have to much time to go on And with some 45 MOPAR projects I'd have to be at least 200 years to get them all back on the road. My son (47 this coming July) just moved over here from the U.S. last fall, but don't seem to be much interested in his dad or my cars. One of my daughters (45 last December) live in Denmark and is not at all interested in either. My latest daughter (25 this coming May and my favorite kid) is a single mother, goes to nurse-collage/universety and have 2 jobs and just never have the time. Not even for the 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z Targa that I bought for her So not much chance of getting any help here. Besides all my cars, I'm also restoring 2 houses with properties, and 2 boats. "Unfortunately", I was able to sell off my 83 feet passenger-ship buildt at our local ship-yard back in 1892 (can be seen on one of the pics of my '61 Polara on here). I worked on that for 5 years all alone to make it into a home (house-boat). Laying outside on it's deck welding at 25 degrees C below zeero and northerly wind with 5 layers of clothes. Hmmm.......wonder why my body is so full of pain :) As for my 3 '60 DeSoto Adventurers, they are all to be found on other treads on here. Sorry, don't know how to direct you there. Thank you so much for the restoring-pics you have posted on here. Posts like that is what is the most interesting to me on here. Anyway, soon time for a cold beer and a shot of Aquavit before I go to bed. Take care, Einar in fredrikstad.

Elite Veteran Posts: 673 Location: Malung, SWEDEN | Einar! Sorry to hear about the lack of Moparinterest from your children, but I recognize the situation. My dad was into building and restoring houses, I´m not. I´m just playing with cars. Friends are going to Sarpsborg/Fredrikstad next weekend, They can haul your car to Malung. You can send me a email or pm so we will not have to bore the other members on this forum.

Elite Veteran Posts: 708 Location: Fredrikstad, Norway. (Europe) | Thank you very much for the offer on hauling my Adventurer to Malung, Markus. I'll try to find time to write you an e-mail tonight. Actually, I need to, and want to sell off some 1/3 to 1/2 of my collection. I may be loosing storagespace for at least 12 cars in a half to one year from now, because the whole of the old shipyard where I am storing some of my cars is supposed to be totally torn down within that time-spectre. And as of this day, I have not found any other acceptable place to store them. I got space on my properties, but as serious automobile collectors should know, storing cars outside in the winter is like sentenceing an automobile to death penalty old fart Edited by oldefar 2013-02-24 4:37 PM

To me it does'nt, I use to have a winterberry red 60 Adventurer. To me it looks like one of the original F -colors, do not remember the name but friend of mine had two of them on same time. It is awsome color, has copperish tone, really fits to F
