Hi all,

Found this site via another forum that I'm a member of and thought that the MOPAR repro lenses that the seller makes may help those that have the models that the lenses fit.

Seller is here in Australia, I have seen some of his products myself ( not the MOPAR ones ) and they seem to be done very well in my opinion.

I don't know the guy reproducing them and have no affiliation, just thought I'd put the link up to possibly help other MOPARists out in search of needed parts.

Enjoy

Is that George Laurie?

^ I thought that question would come up ^ and I guess from what I've read here on the FL forum , seems to be justified in asking.

Nup, the guy's name is Dale and he is pretty well known around the traps as a pretty decent guy as far as I know.

I've never bought his lenses mainly because I've never needed to but I've seen quite a few of his lenses on various cars at shows down this end of the world.

In fact I saw one car with his custom lens incorporating a "skull" embossing built into it only 3 weeks ago at a national show I attended.

I'll see if I can get hold of him on the phone tomorrow and get some more info from him for you.

I'm pretty sure he will also custom make lenses from what I'm told but not sure of the turnaround on them, but it might be an avenue to try for some of the MOPAR lenses that are hard or near impossible to find.

I know how frustrating it can be finding hard to get parts ( as I'm finding out also myself ) so hopefully I can get some good news for you guys that need repro lenses done within a reasonable time frame.

Cheers,

Terry.

Dale McShane I believe....  this has come up before on this Forum.

Reliable guy and can make lenses to YOUR sample !

Ex Fitzroy (Melbourne), now in Queensland I believe.....

I've been happy with his work so far.  Only issues i've seen in general with "one off" lenses is colour matching from part to part because the dye is individually mixed per  item, not per batch....  (teething problems hopefully!)

That's him, I didn't get to ring him today, was replacing drivers exhaust manifold due to badly cracked old one, no chuffing now !!

I've only ever heard good things about him.

Will try calling him over coming days and report back here.
