Location: The Mile High City | I found some interesting Texan emblems on eBay that I may incorporate into the Coronet convertible project. The state-shaped badge appears to have the same hole pattern as the D-500 emblem. The "Custom" script has the same hole pattern as the "Coronet", "Royal", and "Sierra" scripts. The mystery is the "Texan" script, which has a unique, two-hole pattern. I am not sure where it would go. Location: The Mile High City | Getting a little closer on the back end. I switched out the D-500 emblem with the Texan emblem. I had to manufacture clips for the sweep trim, which took time. I guess the sweep trim has a different hole than the standard Coronet trim and instead of drilling a new hole, I manufactured a clip to fit with the existing hole. Now I need to send out two stainless trim pieces and the rear eschucheon to be polished / replated. I suspect that might cost a bit to get done. Location: The Mile High City | Those re-pops of the 1955 or 1956 Chrysler exhaust deflectors are pretty nice! I am probably not going to route the exhaust pipe to go through the deflector - too much of a mess!

Location: The Mile High City | At that price, maybe so! James has good stuff. Thanks for the heads-up, Paul! I also learned that "Texan" script I have is for a 1959 Dodge.

Location: The Mile High City | Hi, Clive: Not much progress to report. Kids are in middle school with braces! I'll pick it up again soon. Need to get the engine back in the car and get it wired, running and driving. That's a big step, so it may take some time.

Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | "Kids are in middle school with braces!" Just hope they don't all go to college and then grad school like my 3 did! LOL No wonder I can't even finish my humble 4 dr, still have a year to go on the last one's college loan... but then again, he'll be paying off his part darn near forever! Kids = no progress on old cars Edited by firedome 2017-06-13 4:31 PM
