What I was hoping was that you would phone them and ask.

Sometimes the easiest solution is the best.

Or, you could just purchase this one. Kind of pricey, but available.

Hi,

I tried send an email to Hothemiheads (my american language is not good at phone, better to write for me) but my email was rejected.

I already saw ebay adapter but the price, WHOW, and for me I have to add shipment and taxe. very very expensive.

Thank you

Sorry. I forgot that you were in France. I just called Hot Hemi Heads in the States and asked about the poly filter adapter and the answer was no, that it not something that they are doing (or have ever done).

He did say that I should contact Chrysler Firepower Magazine because they are making parts. Well after a lot of false leads, I finally figured out that it was Chrysler Power Magazine (no "Fire"). I called their phone number and got a hold of one of their tech support guys. I explained what I was looking for (on behalf of a guy in France with a 64 318 poly) and the response was "That adapter plate is the same as the ones that they used on the LA engines". That means the 318 LA, the 340, the 360, the LA 400 and maybe the later Magnum engines. That should make it easy.

To remind ourselves, this is what you are looking for. Plus the gasket.

Based on searching for LA 318/340/360 parts, you will find:

1. The plate:

https://www.ebay.ie/itm/NOS-Mopar-1956-1992-Plymouth-Dodge-273-318-3...

2. The nipple:

https://www.ebay.ie/itm/NEW-318-340-360-Oil-Filter-Block-Adapter-Fit...

3. The gaskets:

https://www.ebay.ie/itm/MOPAR-LA-Engine-Chrysler-Gaskets-Angle-Oil-F...

Hope that helps

Using the part numbers, I was able to find both parts from Summitracing.com Total price is $73 for both parts. Or, you could always make an offer on that other one. I would offer him $45 and see what happens.

Filter connector: https://www.summitracing.com/oh/parts/cwa-53007563ab/overview/
Filter plate: https://www.summitracing.com/oh/parts/ctr-22-575

Edit: Looks like we all found them once the part numbers were revealed.

53007563AB for the fitting is a current part number thru FCA, MSRP $10.60 Available thru your local Dodge dealer. Though maybe not in Europe?

Edit: latest plate part number (2002 LA engine) 53021053 MSRP $6.75, also still available thru FCA dealers.

Hello guys,

I'm very happy about your help. I wrote a ebay seller to buy the 3 items in only one order.
I'll post you the result to confirm that's fit.

Hope that oil leak at filter will forget with this adapter.

Thank a lot for your time.

Fabrice: As per my email yesterday, hold off on buying the plate and adapter off eBay. I bought a plate and adapter yesterday and picked them up today. I am going out now to mail them to you using the address you sent me.

Hope it all works.

I've bought the two parts from a Dodge Dealer for a third of that price and shipped them to Fabrice this afternoon.

To bad Canadian prices are more. It's like our escalated price matrix here in the US.

Not really "more". It's just the exchange rate. 1 CDN $ = US$ 0.75, i.e. 1.33 factor, i.e. US$6.76 = CDN$9.00, a factor that I have to live with every day.

Hi All,

I tried the adapter today and the result was very bad (as Niagara falls with oil). I was very short in time as I work outside, I put the original filter: it's our daily car. But I will try the next time with more time and I hope inside with car lifter.

Thank you, Fabrice

I forgot to mention the paper gasket that goes under the plate. Mopar 53020461AB. Discontinued thru FCA, but Fel-Pro makes one part # 70522.

I think we flagged the gaskets to Fabrice back when, I know I did.

Hi did you ever get this conversion completed without leaks successfully?
Did you have to do any internal engine work as some suggested was necessary, to plug the oil bypass valve?
Glenn.
