Hey Wayne,

Maybe you can get a bunch of us Forwardlookers to pitch in and help you buy the part for the machine so you can continue making inserts. I would be in.

Anybody know how to get hold of Wayne? He has a part of mine that I let him use to make a reproduction of and I need it back pretty soon. Not been able to make contact.

Hey Donnie,

I have left several phone messages/pm/emails and he is MIA. I saw him on the Christine Car Club forum yesterday but he never responded to my pm. I don't know what's up with him.

I need him too -- I bought and paid for a set of lower stainless grille bars and a couple Victor keychains and haven't seen them yet.

I'm starting to worry. 2DHT driprail stainless doesn't grow on trees.

I got a message from him everything seems fine. On a positive note I have many of his parts here for cars I'm working on and they are outstanding reproductions. He doesn't sell junk.

I think the machine is repaired, he just got tired of people low balling him after he made the initial investment on the machine...He had about 5 SETS each(Gold and Silver, I SAW THEM MYSELF) made up and selling for the same price as Rawa's Mylar stuff and NOBODY came forward and bought 'em...When someone reproduces a part gentlemen, you need to GET IT RIGHT THEN, as you never know when they might stop...When he had the inserts, I guess everybody just figured he would have them forever. This is NOT the case..You cannot have your money tied up in parts and can't get it back...

I reproduce the clips for the lower stainless trim at the BOTTOM of the winshield and rear glass, but I'm not gonna sell them when I have time and my own money tied up in them for peanuts....THIS I believe is why Wayne quit doing the inserts....When they are on EvilBay, they fetch a premium, try and give you guys first dibs, and you get low balled....

I don't know the good fellow and probably won't be needing any of these parts he's producing, but looking at the first 3 posts of this topic here, I can imagine people get a bit leary when someone somehow can drop the price with $500 like that.
Commercially and saleswise, it would have been smarter if Wayne had editted his first post with the new prices.

Eh It just means that he had recooped his costs to get things setup and then dropped prices accordingly, not really such a bad thing.
