I think the snowy one with the green 55 Chrysler is very likely to be Snoqualmie Pass which is on the I-90 highway east of Seattle WA.

I remember the Safford-Gaide dragster, they started out running an Olds before the Hemi. Their Olds-powered car has been recreated for cacklefests. Here's a pic of them at a 2005 Cacklefest.

   Location: Ponder, TX | The sheriff in our very rural North Dakota county bought a New Yorker patrol car every year during the fifties and sixties. He was given a fixed budget instead of the standard Ford cruiser supplied by the county. He said he had too many miles to cover and the New Yorker was a better choice as it was faster and more comfortable than the stripped Fords the deputies drove. If the price of the Chrysler exceeded the budget, he paid the difference out of his own pocket. I also recall the sheriff of Cochise in the tv show drove a New Yorker station wagon! |
