Expert 5K+ Posts: 9648 Location: So. Cal | That doll is scary size. Not sure I want to see it's frontside. The girl's skirt in Sid's photo is pretty short for the early '50's. I would expect that more from the '60's.

Great photo! I was thinking the same....but its a 57 so it would of been on the other side...i doubt they would of moved it, to place the Texan Badge on there...and it also looks like it has a set of beat up/bent exhaust deflectors?

The paint looks to be the Tropical Coral...the only other Red tinted color was Flame Red....I own a Flame Red 57 D500....its very dark when you see it in person

I think that chick is wearing Bermuda shorts, especially with the long socks and tennies. From the shadows of the trees (no leaves, but none on the ground), it looks like an early spring day. Those were my salad days and I remember them quite well. But I'm not the guy in the pic -- he's being far "cooler" than I used to be. Joe

I recall reading an article submitted by a former Ford employee how he was required to hang two doors per minute on the new Falcons coming down the line. Now it took him a day to hang one door on his restoration Falcon!! Pete (upload_2016-8-14_19-56-32.png) Attachments ---------------- upload_2016-8-14_19-56-32.png (420KB - 233 downloads)

I am not judging the car on the picture, nor the build quality, and I am not saying it is bad at all.. I am judging myself for obsessing with details even more than the factory.

Joe Godec Yup. You are 100% correct. I googled " 1959 Yellowstone earthquake" and got these images (one of them was the 56 Chrysler) (Aug. 17, 1959) https://www.google.ca/search?q=1959+yellowstone+earthquake&source=ln...
