Would it have been suitable to your budget?

Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13045 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | I've sold stuff on Tradera too Mark - there's always a risk for getting low payment on the auctions. Actually I wanted to find the '60 Saratoga at a reasoable price, but I think that only Western Models Kim Classic made those. Last time I saw one for sale it was well over €200

Location: Parts Unknown | This one really had me scratching my head. It looked SO familiar ! It is a LONG way from Tacoma, although if one took that road going over the bridge and kept going for 30 miles, they'd end up in Tacoma ! This was taken along old 99 in the Nisqually delta as the highway starts it's climb up the hill on the north/east side. The OLD road is seen at left. It originally had an at-grade crossing of the Northern Pacific mainline tracks, but the big, sweeping bridge to the right carrying traffic over the tracks was built some time around 1950. Note the RR telegraph poles. These stood well into the 1980's. I believe the powerline is still there, although probably rebuilt by now. In 1970, or so, I-5 was completed in a direct crossing of the delta and pulled most of the N-S traffic off the old 99 route that followed the hillside. It would be hiding about a quarter mile dead ahead through the woods, as the camera is pointed. Chances are, I knew the son of the Trooper whose car is shown. His name was Dale, and he was a friend of a guy I worked for. His father was assigned that section of road and Dale had wonderful photo albums full of pictures he took of wrecks and other scenes his Dad attended to when Dale got to "tag along" on Saturdays. Today, you can access that same site from the Mounts Road exit from I-5, heading south/east. (5 tacoma.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 5 tacoma.jpg (143KB - 189 downloads)

I can see is a predominant route 5 area. ============================================ I did a Google Earth search and this is the copied coordinates: https://www.google.com/maps/@47.0708653,-122.6954163,3a,75y,90t/data... How do you get the screen copy to show as the image ? On the map, I-5 was closer than I remember. The map shows the road as being Old Pacific Highway/Nisqually Road SW. Look for where the road crosses over the railroad tracks. That is the place. The old photo is looking north, toward I-5. When I was traveling that road, it looked a lot more like the old photo than it does now.

Expert Posts: 1819 Location: Vancouver, BC | It is a Vauxhall Victor. And its nestled next to a Pontiac The black and hubcaps makes it appear to be a very spartan vehicle. Pontiac dealers sold Vauxhalls in the U.S. (1957-1962) and Pontiac-Buick dealers in Canada (1949-1972).
