Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada		These are old, but not really old! July 9, 1988 wedding day for us. Found these last night going through old photos. We actually took the honeymoon in the 300, went to a meet as part of it! The gold 1963 LeBaron behind us (bottom photo) belongs to a friend of ours, he still owns it.

That is a very common publicity photo, of/for Ex.

Makes you wonder about any concern he had (apparently: little) about that emblem, and the non-availability(?)
of the proper-side emblem, when the photo was taken.

He had to have been aware of its mis-instalation.


OHHHH; I (finally) get it: the knights-head is facing in the same direction as the planes' photos!

This is/was a common publishing ploy; in publications, the cars/objects are always supposed to be laid out
inward, toward the binding, so some items get printed facing backwards.

So the wrongward facing emblem was either an oversight, or an expediency, or it was an intentional, conscious
publishing-layout protocol (I concur with the latter possibility) to have the emblem's orientation agree with the
direction of the planes.

Location: CA		I don't believe for a second that type of thought went into this photo, not at all. What I see is yet another great example of the rushed build quality (or lack thereof) that all of Chrysler suffered from in '57 and the early production cars are no exception!

on him. I'll bet his entire life is as frugal as a pair of thrift store shoes.

Oregon plate. Guessing by the gas towers, it is Portland and somewhere down by the river. "Columbia
Ladders" also supports this. I see the corner of a 64-65 Malibu, so it is at least 1964 when the photo was
taken.

This photo really captures the rundown feel I experienced finned cars through. It was the rare occurrence
to see one that was nicely cared for and looked nice. Most times they were dirty and missing trim or a hubcap
or worse. It doesn't take long in a place where it rains all the time. They also gravitated to neighborhoods
with peeling paint and billboards in the yards by the mid-60's.

And the ever present broken/missing spring assisted panel that access's the hood latch in the top front of the grill, I'm beginning to think it was an option I've seen so many missing.

Initially I thought it was looking in the wrong direction.  I found other photos on the web that show it facing that way though.

 Here's a couple photo's off the web (and the exner photo again) where it looks like the drivers side emblem really does face the wrong way.  

It had to be made that way from the factory.  Or else I need new glasses.
