I'm not the one bulls**tting people here. Report all you want. If your story about needing money was legit then you wouldn't have a $22k reserve on the car. Your are just mad now because you got called out on your BS. You should be ashamed to have pulled the vet card to get that car bought knowing you were going to flip it.

Any fool can research a phone number or name on the internet, Ian Emmott. I use this name everywhere so it's no big secret since I have nothing to hide.

So you claim that you're name is Ian Emmott... Then why does your profile on this site say that your name is Dan Dale?

Furthermore, I believe the bigger issue is that you wanted to finance this car and had to get a LOAN from your bank to pay for it. So, for all we know, the seller simply didn't want to deal with the typical financing hassles, and nullified the deal.

As for the hatred being shown towards an alleged "flipper", this is a free-country, where someone can do whatever they want with their property! If he wants to sell the car, burn it to the ground, or give away to a homeless child; that's his decision!

Geez... The amount of animosity on this thread is tangible.

I was saying that his name is Ian and that I use this screen name everywhere, genius. (see, that was me SARCASTICALLY referring to you. punctuation is your friend).

Nope, wasn't going to be financed just put on floorplan which requires a copy of the title first. NO BANK EVER will loan money on a car without seeing the title. That issue is moot anyway.

I don't have a problem with flipping. I do have a problem with someone lying and using their status as a vet to perpetuate that lie in order to buy something to flip knowing the seller wouldn't have sold him the car had he known his true intentions.

The part I don't get is why would anyone sell a car at WAY under market value to a stranger. A sob story might knock a few hundred off, but we are talking over $10K. Whether the current seller's original intent was to flip or not is irrelevant. He wants to sell it now and why wouldn't he want full market value?

The guy traded a Trans Am for it and didn't realize what the market value really was on the car. He was just going by how much he had in the T/A and this buyer's (now seller's) reassurances.

Sour. Grapes.

Buyer and Seller beware and know the value of your product. It is a "great deal" if you or I get it, but this guy is a bad guy and manipulative cause he struck a deal.

Life goes on. Unfortunately, there are enough Christine clones to go around.....:( Go find another.

I think the animosity is because of how this car was flipped and the story behind it.

Free country gets used quite a lot when people want to do whatever they please or to win an argument. There is a lot more in those two words than just saying them.

Some people are very persuasive when bartering down a price, especially if they do it often(Which I'm guessing if you buy and sell cars often one would be quite good at it). Who knows, the original seller might of been desperate for money or had to sell fast because his predicament might of "genuinely" changed and couldn't sit back and wait..Beefmalone, was the original sellers name Eric?

Anyway who is wrong and who is right is past now.

BTW- The old girl clearly has more body filler in it then in the eyebrow...

Yep you are right, I just checked. So in Sept 2015 Eric swapped it for a 79 T/A so then the next seller had it for a couple of months before selling it to the current owner.. I think that's how it goes...

Impossible to answer

Depends on your standards and what you want to do with it

Car apparently runs and drives now, so cost nothing to leave it, if you want to make a nicer christine out of it, it looks to need repainting and some panel work, if you want to restore it, you pull it apart and start again, and thats where the big $$$$ come

I hope we all can be friends again!

After all this drama on eBay any chance of selling it without feeling extremely bitter is slim to none at this point. So, the old girl will sit at Moms until I get her to the shop when I go home to Massachusetts.

This post sure got interesting....

So you wouldn't of sold it even if your reserve was met because of feeling bitter or it's because the reserve wasn't met and now wait until the stigma that has erupted settles down? I don't know what it costs to register a car in that area of the US but looks like even if you sold it for what the bid went to, you still would have made a good profit by not doing much.

It's a shame you couldn't at least of got that red paint off that Fury....

Lol, a simple web analytics search that any college freshman with a smartphone can do in 10 seconds, shows that both beefmalone and Olds82 have the same ISP address originating near Boston, Massachusetts. I am sure the managers & moderators of this site are also privy to the analytics of the web traffic here even if the average tech-savvy person is not, and know I am correct as well.

Good thing they did not post consecutive responses at approximately the same time, otherwise the truth of them being the same member would be more obvious, lolllllllllllllllllllllll. When this happens, it takes some time to talk to yourself and figure out the best comeback. If beefmalone bets against Olds82 and they both lose, who ends up with car?, I guess you have to crush it.

Oh no, a screengrab of a Mississippi license with the name cut off!!!!! I messed with world famous dead-beat Ebay bidder beefmalone, what am I going to do now? So we have a fraudulent Ebay bidder, beefmalone, kicked off of bidding on this 1957 Fury and reported to multiple authorities in his jurisdiction by the seller Olds82, then subsequently beefmalone is posting comments on this thread supporting Olds82's provenance of this same car and separately supporting Olds82's contention of a legitimate Ebay auction. Do you think all of us Mopar and Plymouth enthusiasts are hillbillies with no common sense?

This 1957 Fury has bondo, lead, homemade amateur patch panels, and pinholes in every single major body panel on this car, and thus Olds82 took a bath when he bought it for 13K; now he wants to take advantage of a novice enthusiast with schill bidding on Ebay, which was already apparent to most of the members here, and which I exposed for new members looking to buy a car without being taken advantage of. Olds82 is deceiving even in the first sentence of his first post on this thread, "Hey all great site!!!", as if he just found this site and has never been on it before, when in reality, he has been on here for years under multiple different user-names. I have proof of my webanalytics which shows beefmalone and Olds82 are the same member, and the moderators here also view the webtraffic and would have censored my posts if their data showed that I am incorrect.

It's pretty simple. BeefMalone just needs to submit a sample of him saying 'park the car'. If 'car' has two or more syllables, he's from Mississippi. If he says 'Pahk the Cah' then he's from Boston.

Oh no, a screengrab of a Mississippi license with the name cut off!!!!!

A picture of me holding my license up in front of this idiotic thread! If that isn't proof enough then I don't know what else could be. I think the moderators are just enjoying the show you are putting on of how to make a fool of yourself.

You have proved nothing, all your picture shows is a license with no identifying information for the license itself or whom is holding the license. You are fraudulent scam schill bidder trying to take advantage of other people. No matter what you say, most of the members here realized this before I ever commented on it.

Why Soooo Serious?

So you think I got someone in Mississippi to take a pic of their license in front of my own create post screen? LOL

This one was in the sewer since before this thread started, due to how bad of condition this car is in. You are better off going to the deli at your supermarket if you want swiss cheese, and swiss cheese actually has better lines and less holes compared to this car.

I suggest that olds82, beefmalone, and joker are all the same person. I think he/they are conducting a social experiment. ??
