1957/8 Plymouth 2 door hardtop
Hi folks. I need advice on how to remove the vent window and frame from the door shell. Do i needyo remove it at the same time as the window winder and mechanism, or can it come out on it's own.
I want to de-rust the lower channels and insert new rubber seals in the channels.
The manual shows how to adjust the angle of the vent window frame, but is not very clear at all. On one of my doors the top of the vent frame catches on the A pillar trim at the top and I would like to know how to adjust this.
Any advice would be much appreciated, or directions to existing posts about how to do this would be great. Thanks.

If it's a hardtop, then you must remove the side window first. The 57 had kind of bad fit for the vent window frame. I had to very carefully grind down the base under the rubber seal for to be able to lower the vent window frame. It was impossible to fully adjust the frame to a good fit to the A-pillar without this modification - in fact both origininal frames were broken due to always hitting against the A-pillars. A factory "standard"
