I see this topic come up a lot, and most people are thinking long tube headers or shorty style.

One direction I haven't seen the conversation go is to a Tri-Y design. A definite improvement, much easier to make fit the FL cars, and the factory kind of already did it with the 63-4 300 letter cars. their manifold were a cast iron Tri-Y design...expensive as all hell if you can find them now.

I'm not the one to do this, my skill set and time is not up to the task, but maybe someone else will like this idea. I would love a pair for my 62 300.

I would imagine with good quality flanges and tubing, they would be durable as well. Schumacher makes B/RB Tri-Ys and they are not cheap...but they won't fit our cars. I found this photo of the manifolds I was talking about, perhaps somebody else has better photos at different angles.

whattayatink?

The Tri-Y's can be a better setup if the right cylinders are paired.
Making headers is not 'that hard'. It just takes time.

I've made my own headers. It's the way to go IMO. I'll probably be building headers for my 58 I'm sure....
