I am looking at a 1958 chrysler that looks like a New Yorker completely on the outside. The owner says car was originally a Windsor and the original owner rebadged the car as a New Yorker years ago.
The car is a Canadian car, VIN # LC2N1875.
Any help would be great!

Going by the VIN, it is an American Chrysler Saratoga.

LC2N1875 :
L - Model year - 1958
C - Car line - Chrysler
2 - Series - Saratoga
N - Assembly plant - Newark
1875 - 875th LC2 built at N

Only problem, Newark did not build Chryslers in 1958, only Plymouths and Dodges.

Could you check the VIN again? Being a Chrysler there should be L (Los Angeles), W (Windsor) or no letter (East Jefferson, Detroit).

Also, is there a body tag on the car? Should be on the firewall in the engine compartment.

Most likely, this is a Saratoga built at the Windsor production plan since it is currently in Alberta - but possibly it migrated up from the USA.
I saw the ad stating "Windsor badged as a New Yorker," but that didn't make any sense to me since the Windsor models were on the 122" wheelbase and the images of this car clearly showed the 126" wheelbase front clip.

Ok; stopped by and physically looked at the tags.
The correct VIN# is LC2W 1875

The body tag is a little rough but I'm 99% sure this is correct;
Model LC2M41
Body # 545
Paint code DCD
Trim code BCA

DCD should be Midnight blue top, air force blue poly body and Midnight blue insert.

Well, that makes a few changes :

LC2W 1875
L - Model year - 1958
C - Car Line - Chrysler
2 - Engine / Chassis - 354-cid V8, 126" (Windsor)
W - Assembly plant - Windsor
1875 - 875th of 2,801 LC2 (1958 Chrysler Windsor) built at Windsor, ON

The body tag :
Model LC2M41
L - Model year - 1958
C - Car Line - Chrysler
2 - Engine / Chassis - 354-cid V8, 126"
M - Price Class / Series - Windsor (Canada)
4 - Doors - Four
1 - Body Style - Sedan

Body # 545
545 - 545th LC2-M-41 built at Windsor. As the car is the 875th LC2 built, the other 330 cars were 2 and 4 door hardtops.

Paint code DCD
D - Upper (Roof) Colour - Midnight Blue - Ditzler 11657
C - Lower (Body) Colour - Sapphire Blue Metallic - Ditzler 11596
D - Insert Colour - Midnight Blue - Ditzler 11657

Trim code BCA
Do not have descriptions for Canadian 1958 trim codes.
The 1958 trim codes were ACA, BCA, JCA, KCA AXG, BXG, HXC, KXC .

Headlining and sun visor colours for each code -
ACA, AXG - Green (green carpet and instrument panel)
BCA, BXG - Blue (blue carpet and instrument panel)
JCA - Grey (black carpet and instrument panel)
KCA - Tan (tan carpet and instrument panel)
HXC - White or Grey (black carpet and instrument panel)
KXC - Beige or Brown (tan carpet and instrument panel)
The "X" colours used either morocco grain vinyl fabric or hair cell perforated vinyl fabric
Also, the "C" colours were used on sedans and "X" on the hardtops, both 2 door and 4 door. However, there were three additional, limited edition codes -
BCC - same as BCA used on sedans
BXT - same as BCA used on sedans
BCD - sames as BXG used on 4 door hardtops

One point of confusion is the Engine / Chassis code. For US production "1" was the 122" wheelbase Windsor with a 2-bbl 354 poly V8 while "2" was the 126" wheelbase Saratoga with a 4-bbl 354 poly V8. In Canada there was no "1" but "2" was a 126" wheelbase Windsor with a 2-bbl 354 poly V8, or basically a Saratoga with Windsor nameplates and engine. The 4-bbl carb was a Power Pack option in Canada.

For colours, the "C" Sapphire Blue Metallic (Ditzler 11596), is the same as the "C" Air Force Blue Metallic (Ditzler 11596) used in the U.S.

The "D" Midnight Blue (Ditzler 11657) is not quite the same as the "D" Midnight Blue (Ditzler 11679) used in the US. Cannot find 11657 in the U.S. for Ditzler. May have been a rejected colour in the U.S.

Fantastic information gentlemen; so for clarity, there was no Saratoga level car in Canada; just the New Yorker and the Windsor?
As Bill said it sounds like the Canadian Windsor was a US Saratoga.
I am the new owner of this car; I will post up a thread with some pictures in the next few days.

Yes, in Canada in 1958 and 1957 the Chrysler line consisted of the Windsor and New Yorker. Only the Windsor was built in Canada (sedans and hardtops only - wagons imported as well as all New Yorker models) but it was really a Saratoga with a Windsor engine and nameplates. In 1959 the 122" wheelbase Windsor and 126" wheelbase Saratoga were built in Canada. (In the US the 1957 Windsor and Saratoga were both on the 126" wheelbase - Windsor was C75-1 and Saratoga C75-2. The Canadian Windsor was C75-2 - again a Saratoga with Windsor nameplates.)

Congratulations on you purchase! Will be looking forward to seeing some photos!
