Location: Nebraska | Does anyone know what this air cleaner is for? It was on a 55 241 Dodge hemi when I got it but since it is not an oil bath I don't think that is what it is for. It is also for a 2bbl clamp on style. I tried looking up the part number but got nothing. I was trying to sell it on Ebay but I think I may have listed it wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Location: Branson, MO | To me it looks like a '57 or '58 model MoPar that hangs off to the passenger side when placed on the carburetor. I believe all V8s for '57 and '58 used this type of air cleaner because of the lower hood lines from the '56 models. Not sure about the diameter of the carb fit up because some of the big blocks (if not all) used the same for two and four barrel carbs. Small blocks may be different and are undoubtedly smaller at the opening. In '59 they went to the common top mounted air cleaners. |

Location: Nebraska | Thanks for the input. I have looked at some pics of Desoto motors and it looks like it probably is for the Firesweep with the 325. Is this the only engine this air cleaner would have been on? |
