New User Posts: 3 | Hello everyone A few months ago I purchased a 1958 Saratoga , and I would like to play a bit with repairing the car. I am from Europe but now I live in California, and I'm not expert in the old American cars. I would like to install this kit http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-7-inch-Dual-Booster-w-Master-w-Di... , but I do not know the dimensions, I have asked the seller but have not received a reply. Is there is sufficient space for installation ? thank you

I did a similar conversion on one of my Imperials. It had the extra difficulty of fitting everything around the big Hemi valve cover. I ended up sectioning part of the firewall and using a different brake pedal assembly. (2014-06-15 14.59.22.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 2014-06-15 14.59.22.jpg (121KB - 123 downloads)

This 2nd one has the adapter plate to mount to your master cylinder studs which is better. The big problem is your brake lines will be on the wrong side with that master cylinder and will probably rub the exhaust manifolds. All my cars have Hemi engines so I can't help with exact measurements or applications for your situation. A dual master cylinder in the stock location on my cars almost rubs the the valve cover. There was absolutely no way to get a power booster to fit in there without modifying the firewall. Poly and Wedge motors do have a little more room but I doubt it will be enough to get any booster that low, although on a 6 cylinder engine it should be no problem.
