Location: London, England | Hi all,
while pulling the dash apart for paint, I discovered why my heater always runs hot. There's no heater control valve! I'm guessing it leaked, so was just removed. It would explain why the glovebox is junk too.
Anyway, I can get one off eBay for $$$$, but I don't know how it fits. Does it mount on the engine bay side of the firewall, or the inside? How does the copper tube sensor route? Which pipe attaches to the heater, and which to the engine?
Oh, and if anyone has a good used valve for a reasonable price, you'd save me a bunch of money!
Thanks!

Location: London, England | Thanks. I assume you mean inside the valve? I have a new one, so hope it's OK. I meant to ask how the copper tube is installed (is it just coiled up, or straightened out under the dash somewhere?) and how it mounts. Pictures look like there's a mounting plate on the engine side of the firewall - John at Big M is sending me one. |
