| Does the front seat of a 1957 Custom Royal Dodge separate back from bottom? If so how is it done? Would like to remove seat to install carpet. As always thanks for the guidance and support.

Location: Perth Australia | Should not need to pull the seat apart, with some wiggling about, you should be able to remove it in one peice (through the back door if its a 4 door, I believe, read that somewhere on here)

Location: bishop, ca | Hey, Nancy, as Mick says, the front seat unbolts from the floor pan; just make sure that the threads are cleaned off, or you could
snap-off the protruding seat studs.
Could you kindly post a few pics of your rare-ride on our Members Rides message board?
Technically, one person can wrangle-out/off the loosened seat assembly, but re-installing a seat is really a 2-person job.

Location: Fargo, ND | If it's like the front seat in my '58 Plymouth, it will come apart, but you will have to get under the upholstery on the sides where the back meets the bottom to get at the bolts. Also, if you do break off some of the floor-mount bolts, just go to the hardware store and get some new carriage bolts. |
