Member Posts: 5 | 57 Dodge convertible, gold/white, 325 poly, original Florida car therefore it is a factory heater/defroster delete car, power steering, manual brakes, odometer reads 62,000 (it appears to be correct). This car is very dependable can be driven any where. Everything works in the car and the only thing missing that I know of are the exhaust tips. I will post pictures later. | ||

I don't have its auction results documented, from 2002(!). It is a small MoPar world. It is NON-heater (not:'heater delete'; heater/defrosters were an option on all 57 Dodges, and it has power brakes (the power steering option is not confirmed on the 57 P/T plates) and the 2-tone steering wheel, stone shields and (only-) the standard-plain wheel covers, and a Solex windshield in it. Its other options will be confirmed on its Broadcast Sheet (which may well still exist behind its glove box) and/or on its factory IBM build card. (Hopefully, its OEM rubber floor mats still exist, beneath the replaced-carpeting that's installed, now). Overall, this is a strangely-optioned convertible; standard 2-bbl carb, with no heater; only a very-warm place (FL) would warrant no heater/defroster in a car. It could have optional dual exhausts; they would appear on the B-Sheet & IBM card. Its mileage, in 2002, was around 61,000. The hood (especially) doors and trunk align VERY well, which bodes very-well for the structural integrity of the car. What is very interesting, about the non-heater status, is that, with a padded dash (coded only on the B-Sheet and IBM card)....you get some sort of 'padding' material installed over the upper dash block-off plates! Never seen a padded dash/non-heater car before. Another, minor, point of interest is that the steering wheel horn-ring assembly does not have the separate, small "Power Steering" nameplate installed (which would appear beneath and below the gold 'Dodge' emblem). Either the factory screwed up, by not installing that nameplate (or it was removed, for some reason), or the P/S system was added-on, after the car was built. AhHA! that nameplate was on the horn ring, back in 2002, so, either that nameplate was removed, or the horn ring assembly was replaced with another horn ring assembly, but off-of, or for (if it is NOS) a car without P/S on it. ......OK: It looks like the Power Steering nameplate was removed, as you can see a shadow image of it, in the current pics of the car. Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | ...Weird; gold/white Custom Royal...but with the wire wheels on it, just like 'this' Coronet has on it, now (but, not back in 2002). These are NOT the same-car ('cloned'). The CR's hood has the typical so-so fitment/alignment to the body; the Coro's hood fits fantastically well to the body structure.
