Extreme Veteran Posts: 398 Location: Watertown South Dakota | I just brought this home and it will be leaving probably by mid next week. I have already sold the bumpers. I will remove the trim, emblems, tail light pieces, wipers, horn ring, radio,,maybe a few other pieces. Other than that, I probably won't even unload it, just strip it on the truck and haul it away. It is a 6 cylinder,,,incomplete and stuck. It is an overdrive, but it has laid in the dirt and possibly water since 1967 (last plates), so the transmission might be junk also. I will attach some pictures, so look it over and if you see anything you need that I might not normally remove, let me know soon. Thanks guys/gals. Not for me, but you should probably keep the headlamp buckets and front valance for all those who want to do a '58 conversion! The instrument pods seem to fetch a few dollars too. Ian

Extreme Veteran Posts: 398 Location: Watertown South Dakota | That radio is strange to me too. I've parted out a few of these cars in the past, but don't remember any of them having a radio like this. Maybe they were push button ones. But, I noticed that it looked odd also.

Elite Veteran Posts: 1124 Location: CA | Yes, this car isn't a silver special but it IS a plaza with the optional trim!

Extreme Veteran Posts: 398 Location: Watertown South Dakota | I'm sorry for the mistake about the Silver Special. I am obviously not too sharp about these cars. I had a 4 door Silver Special with this trim and I thought that was a SS only trim, but I do remember that the 4 door had the Forward Look emblems, not the Plaza script. Oops.

Expert Posts: 3967 Location: DFW, TX | Ron, I am interested in all the inner window mechanism from both doors - including the glass if it's not busted. In fact, I may be interested in the entire doors, except that shipping to Texas may be a bit expensive! Maybe Grayhound...? Let me know please, thanks! Danny

Wise Old Village Idiot Posts: 3591 Location: Dellslow, West ("By God") Virginia ! | There were THREE optional radios. Manual tune, the one you see, and deluxe pushbutton (5-button) tune. It had something like a solid state something or other tuner. Then the search/seek 7-button

Extreme Veteran Posts: 520 Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado | I would be interested in the lower valance if its in decent shape. It looks ok from these pictures but if you could provide better pictures of the edges of it that would be great! i'd want all of the sections of it. Also that drivers side upper grill section seems decent, i'd be interested in that as well. Edited by Chrispy 2010-09-07 12:31 AM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 6552 Location: Newark, Texas (Fort Worth) | Hi-Pockets: The lower center grille came in today. Not a scratch... Well except for the 52 years of use that is! Thanks to Ron Paulson of Lake city Classics in Watertown SD! Marc.
